The Nintendo DS thread v.2

Well, the Guadia Quest challenges take more time than the other ones, but the final challenge is to
final challenge

Spoiler

Beat all games

@Yin- no wonder I couldn’t find it when I searched for it as an anime series XD. Thanks for the link though
Got a question about Guadia Quest-

G. Quest

[details=Spoiler]Other than the main city, where can I purchase equipment?
Also what are equipment recommendations?[/details]

Anybody else playing the Fire Emblem game? My first experience with one and it’s pretty addicting.

Edit:

Chinatown Wars was just posted… I’ll see if this is legit

edit2:

wow it’s been out for 2 days? and yes it works

monkey

[details=Spoiler]there’s only 5 places in all of Gaudia Quest u can visit.

2 dungeons, 2 towns, and 1 random area.

so yah, u can only purchase equipment at once place, but u can find more in the dungeons.[/details]

I’m at the final challenge now

Man, I was at like level 50+ in Cosmic Gate and died my last few lives to stupid mistakes in an asteroid level…

I liked the TOMATO games the best lol.
Anyone know how playable the second game is in japanese? Guess it takes away some if you can’t read the magazines… I mean, I didn’t really use the cheats but it gave the whole thing a nice feeling/mood. Reading previews about games that’s going to be “released”… Nostalgic
This is def one of my favorite games for the DS so far!

Edit: Just cleared Cosmic Gate. 691890 points, 10 lives left, no cheats used (a few warp gates, but that isn’t a cheat in my opinion)

I want to go out and buy a DS game… Currently, I’m playing Phantom Hourglass and I’m kinda bored with it (Early into the game too, seeing the Ghost Ship for the first time)

I have Pokemon Diamond, Portrait of Ruin, Elite Beat Agents, Phoenix Wright 1-3, Mario Kart DS, and Order of Ecclesia…

Suggestions?

metal slug 7.

hmm, never was a big Metal Slug fan…

  • New Super Mario Bros., though it’s a little bit on the easy side.
  • Retro Game Challenge, if you like old school type games.
  • Planet Puzzle League, if you like puzzle games (and it’s great for those 5/10 minute game sessions)
  • Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
  • Hotel Dusk, if you like noir-like stories.

If you’re an Final Fantasy fan, the remakes of the older games sound pretty solid from what I’ve heard, so you may check them out.

If you’ve liked Phoenix Wright 1-3, then you may want to get Apollo Justice too.

What kind of puzzle game is Planet Puzzle League, or what does it have in it?

It’s basically Tetris Attack/Panel de Pon with variations a-la console Super Puzzle Fighter style.

So, anyone selling a cheap DS Lite, now that those DSi are coming soon?

ohhh cool!

thanks.

I’m thinking about selling mine, but one of the hinges is broken. Doesn’t really affect it unless you’re trying really hard to separate it, works perfect still. I was going to see if Gamestop would still accept it…

Played the first few missions of Chinatown Wars today; not bad.

Surprisingly the camera doesn’t bother me. The interfaces are all for the most part intuitive and clean.

Getting rid of cops is a tad bit easier than the non-handheld counterparts.

I’ll mess with it on the train a bit more.

I’m a little annoyed with how many pointless touch screen minigames are in China Town Wars

Thanks mate, I’ll keep lurking the Southern dungeon until I get all equipment then see what I can get from the First town.
Man if this game is small in its NES ver., imagine what its SNES ver. will be like.

I’m playing it here and there…I’m enjoying what I’ve played of it so far. I’ve noticed none of my units just completely outshines the others yet like the first fire emblem on the GBA (Hector was a broken ass mofo lol…I’d just throw him into a group of people and he’d just clean up all on his own with barely any damage to him if at all)

I don’t mind the touch screen mini games like hot wiring cars and making petrol bombs. What annoys me is the camera on the bottom screen, it’s difficult to focus on both you know. Game is actually pretty good I thought it would be shit.

Cleared Haggle Man now too.

Anyone try that game “Moon” yet? Any good?

PPL is pure gaming crack! Slick interface, music and visuals. I always have it in my case.

…Meteos is a close second for me.

Its cool, I’m about an hour into it…seems to take a little while to get warmed up.
