Turn based Strategy never dies. It’ll only get better. This is probably the middle finger response, that Atlus is giving to their former employees(AKSYS), for an early Christmas present. This clearly ruins Hoshigami Remix, but I’m reluctant to get either or. Hoshigami R. is a solid TBSRPG, but Luminous Arc is one of the same vein, but offers more to the package. Online fighting has been confirmed, as well as voice overs. Its’ FFTA style fighting is what turns me off of the title. Special attacks and abilities, such as tag team, should be available to both the user and CPU in order to make it a balanced game. FFTA felt one sided with the Combo moves and Totemas, even though it made this up with the Job system mixups. I still felt as if I was the only one that was really setting things up here.
Regardless of that, thus far, Luminous is quite a show stealer with its’ anime and MANLY BICEPS. Awesome game thus far from the previews.
- Square: …Front Mission DS gave me a…wedgie. Two stories already sold me on this title, seeing that I have already beaten the first and third titles of the series and was impressed at how deep the series has gotten.

I was thinking about buying DS for its online play. Which version of the DS would be the best overall? Right now I dont plan on modding it but it could be a possibility in the future.
Which one has the best signal, if it applies? What should I expect to spend on one of these DSes

Uh… If you’re talking about choosing between a DSlite and Phat DS. The DS lite wins by a large margin. Better battery life blah balh balh balh

but I do remember reading somewhere that the phat ds has a slightly better wifi range… but you shouldn’t let that sway you.
DSlite is better. I have the phat one and it has better sound . (it has better speakers, but battery power and lights are much better on the light. Plus its skinnier and looks nicer. Although sometimes i feel like i could break the Lite.
Eiether one is good. I wonder if they still have those DS value packs. Where u get a DS and one Game.

The DS lite has good sound when used with headphones though.

yes, only problem is its not online and its bugged to where you cant get past the 13th floor, I sent my copy to snk and they just started sending out replacements friday.
Yes, but wait. I played the game and liked it but the part about no online kills it for me.
