I’ll get it I just wanna go to anime expo first.
It’s SE’s new way of spelling Magic. I first saw it in the FF6GBA remake. Kind of like how they love to change the name of spells in all thier remakes (Ice2 = Blizarra).
-ra and -ga are the Japanese nomenclature, I believe.
Also Magick isn’t just Square’s thing, that’s a legitimate way to spell it.
Why?
So apparently I’m the only person here not impressed by FFTA2?
I don’t hate it. . .it’s just that I’m annoyed by all the abilities being tied to weapons, and the fact that you can’t get weapons unless you get the random bazaar materials that you need to make the said weapons. It’s just a completely unnecessary barrier to leveling up and getting the abilities I want.
Hell, I’ve played 7 hours, and my characters can’t go any higher than friggin’ soldiers/archers/black-white mages, b/c all the available weapons that I have only contain abilities for high-tiered classes (fighters/warriors/paladins/sages/summoners), and NOT FOR THE LOW-TIERED CLASSES WHOSE ABILITIES I NEED TO ADVANCE TO THOSE HIGHER CLASSES.
Fucking Square. Otherwise, this seems to be the same exact thing as FFTA, barring the random opportunity attacks, less stringent law system, and bonus stats attached to your clan’s name.
It’s alright.
Hey everyone.
I’m planning on picking up some peripherals. What can you guys tell me about Nyko’s shit? More specifically, I’m looking to buy the Ultimate DS Lite Kit, and the Nyko Charge Grip. Also, what’s the word on Nintendo’s DS Headset? Gotta get on dat MPH.
and to think I was going to sell my ds. All these beastly games coming out. I just can’t do it. ;-;
I was expecting them to make a FFTA2 limited edition bundle, I mean they’ve done it for all previous Square releases, why not this one?

Oh god no. That’s hilarious. I’ll spell it that way from now on.

Gotta give it up to S-E. The AI is more aggressive in FFTA-2. Didn’t think I’d be able to get away with wounded characters. He gives chase to them and gangs up. Hopefully, S-E will have them doing combos.
Still can’t get over the track listing for this game. It’s awesome.
- Lobelia: the headset is okay. Haven’t used it too much because the mic + iPod headphones suffice. I’m serious: it’s still in the box. Also, it’s only one side.
Is it worth buying if all I’m gonna play on this is the game it was made for(Hunters)?
I’d assume so. The people I face(from SRK and other parts of the world) don’t talk much or at all when we fight. Straight up breathing.
I left the office today at lunch and picked up my copy of FFTA2; I know what you mean about the music, it’s sweet!
So far, I’m loving A2; SE fixed all the issues with the previous title: poor menus and awful hit percentage rates have been fixed.
Good find:tup:
This is going to be another great 2D Castlevania game; potentially even more so than the last two, which says quite a bit.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a release date at E3.
Bought 2 copies of FFCC and one Guitar Hero for DS (buy 2 get 3rd free at Toys R Us sale) for my brother’s birthday. FFCC seems pretty awesome with multiplayer, but I tried out GH and its kind of unimpressive. The graphics aren’t done very well, holding the thing is awkward, and you don’t get the same “I’m playing guitar!!!” feeling you did on consoles.
Hm. Then I guess I won’t be getting it after all. There’s probably little need for it anyway.
-
yeah Lob, I don’t see the point in it unless you’re getting VOIP on your DS. Which reminds me…

FFTA-2…auctioning, for territory, and kicking out other clans from your territory. That there is innovative and I like this map. I like the territory feature of the game. Alot better than Dream Ivalice’s system in FFTA. Build a map based on your blah. Didn’t need that. Get that fake stuff out of here. Real Ivalice rules.
The Jail system is also a good treat now. The joy: not paying a ridiculous amount to get my squadmates out of it. And yes, I actually got the *Missing *law in a battle recently. That’s a bit overboard, Square. How could you get 100% successive hits on everything during a fight?
Floor 6 on EO2. The boss gave me a hard time at first, 3 of my people died, but I got him. I fought him again and whopped his ass the second time.
For those of you that don’t know, bosses respawn in EO2 after 14 days. Since they give a ton of experience it’s worth it. Just fight them, change all your members out and just have a single lvl1 character sleep at the Inn for 14 days. So for only 120en(5en per day for a single lvl1) you can re-fight a boss for a ton of EXP plus a good drop worth lots of money and generally results in great equipment.
FFTA was my first Square tactics game and I enjoyed the hell out of that. I was a little disappointed on how FFTA2 graphically looked because it was essentially a FFTA graphic port, but in the end, I am loving it because of the battle system.
Is anyone aware of how the Tactics Advance cart is used to benefit A2? I’ve read that if you have the cart present, your clan gets a special ability.
You get the Libra privilege. Enables you to see traps. Load up your FFTA save to get it.,
