Yeah…we can probably say goodbye to oduya They have to find a way to keep Saad though it really isnt an option
lol Some hawks fan was saying they should keep Sharp.
Ok good luck buddy, say goodbye to Brandon Rollins.
And we just traded Saad…literally a couple hours after I said it. Fucking christ man that one hurts hes soo goodhttps://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/615994032246890497
That… Was unexpected.
Awe damn…
He was the future. I’m kinda upset.
Saad was one of the untradeables…get rid of Sharp, Crawford, etc. Not Saad. I am very saad.
I knew it was going to be Saad or Crow. Even if you let go a lot of the expected, the Hawks were still going to be in too deep. As sad as it is to see him go, it was the soundest decision.
They may be able to make up for Saad, maybe, but a goal tender like crow is going to be hard to find again…with darling as a back up. That goalie situation is just too perfect to screw with. I guess they feel like saad was once a prospect, and they have more prospects in the pipeline.
TRADES TRADES TRADES ALL DAY
So Saad

I’d rather get rid of Crow. I know he is stable and all. However Darling shows a lot of promise, and Crow can be very inconsistant. We aren’t talking about Price, Quick or Lundquist here.
Brandon Saad is already incredible, he isn’t just a prospect, he was a force this year and in the playoffs. He is young and will get even better.
Great, now how am I supposed to use #KNEELBEFORESAAD with meaning?
Just came in this thread to say fuck the salary cap.
I’m beyond tired of us getting beat more by the cap than we do by any team smh.
NHL wants teams to build through draft and trades but punishes them when the process actually works. Cap needs to improved or removed.
Kessel got traded to Pittsburgh
Yeah, that rumor has been all over the radio here for the last couple of weeks. One talking head didn’t like his attitude. What’s that about? Shows up to training camp all fat?
Kinda happy the pens got a scorer to stick on 1st or 2nd line without having to give up Määttä or Pouliot which is what most people down here thought was going to happen.
He’s a very one way player, and doesn’t listen well, from what I’ve heard over the years. But for real, I doubt he can even spell back check.
Trust me, this is all going to work out. Maybe not next season, but keeping Corey is going to pay off big.
I don’t know if it’s his personality, but people are witnessing the beginning of something historical with Crow and we don’t even know it. The guy is going to have 4 or 5 cups and he will still be slept on. He can be inconsistent at the worse times (hence having darling), but overall, in the playoffs, he’s gold. It’s almost like having Manning being backed up with Luck. Except crow wins in the playoffs.
Cups don’t tell the story of how good a goalie is. Save percentage doesn’t either. Scoring opportunities vary from A+ chances to shots in the dark.
Corey is solid, but he isn’t elite. Don’t forget the players he has in front of him.
Patrick Sharp traded anyway…we should’ve kept Saad.
Stars sign ex-Blackhawk Oduya to 2-year deal
The Dallas Stars have signed veteran defenseman Johnny Oduya to a two-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Stars also gets Johnny Oduya…since he declined to re-sign with the Hawks.
Interesting offseason.
Dallas taking so many former Hawks they’re going to start calling themselves the Texas Golden Eagles.
Poor Lou. Has no idea he just signed up to be a fall man.
