There are a few Japanese Kaede vids out there…when we film now that I got an encoder and a good tuner I’ll play some Kaede.
maaan i need to be able to play more O.O only people who are aloud to beat me flat out is geese, and the triad in this nation as of now, all the other guys, practice, and practice hard, i want at least 5 more good players… not 1 good player in every other OTHER state… its be fun get beat up by lets say… a good yuki player…
Nope. I’m doing two hit qcb+c to the super I posted before. It gives me distance and I’ve found it’s safer.
look for akenin, cheapshot, his kaede is top notchers. he has a tendancy to be a little risky at some points, but its well worth it, after command grab he dashes up and does a jab to reset him, then goes behind him while hes still resetting, BAM unblockable. AND, if he thinks that the opponent is gonna jump straight up against his command throw, he attempts to go for an air throw… the opponent wakes up facing the wrong side on wake up after this, so whatever they get hit by its basically free…

I will say though that Jyasumin’s Genji is hella good.
id say akenin is the best out of all the kaedes… his moryia is real good as well…

I need more advise from those vids. I dont know if I am spacing properly or what to use to punish. Weither Ultimate Faust was talking to me or not I took his hit confirm into consideration and will try to apply it though.
What’s weird is that for someone who’s name is Hatred Edge, I’m only hateful towards the ignorant, abusive and criminals. Everyone else as long as they are happy, I’m cool with no matter what.
Tis a shame K’ sucks in this game. I had him all decked out in the white suit and black gloves. Well there is always casual play. I would try to be much better at NGBC but there is no one around here who play it. And speaking of Kaede and Moriya. I like them both and that’s a problem. Curses! SNK does it again! Another FG with too many characters to like.
Okay but its a level one and it worksgood yes…but the Level 2 does more damage…thats a nice different way to play Kaede but I am sure as you know for damage go for Level 2…
I’ve experimented with that stlye of play with Kaede but it also depends on how fast you build meter with your battery character.
Eh, i’ll never enter tourneys for this game more than likely. It’s a fun game, but I’d have to do too much traveling to “prove my worth” and what not. And no offense to the NGBC but I don’t find this game worth traveling for. Too small of a fan base right now.
Plus, Even I don’t take my Yuki play seriously. He’s fun to goof off with every now and again, but no where near good character wise and I’m no where near good with him, playability wise. So, like I said, I’ll just stick with Iori/Big
Speaking slightly of Kaede, what are some followups to his command grab? Right now all I’m doing is command grab to DP but there has to be something better…right? I can’t even get any supers to connect afterwards v_v
Don’t do Lightning Super after the command grab, unless it will definitely kill and then ONLY supercanceled from :qcb::p:. A waste of meter in my opinion.
The :snkc: Lightsaber WILL connect over the HCF+K but you have to do it fairly quickly.
:snka: Lightsaber is easier to connect but does significantly less damage so I never use it.

cheap_shot: Kaede is a threat because of the damage from his level 2 super, done with C. If you hit the qcb+C straight up, you actually want to cancel the 3nd hit (not the first), and cancel is late, right before Kaede hops for the third hit. You’ll know you’ve done it right when they land on the lightsaber and it does a shitload of damage.
His other B&B with the level 2 super: cr.B, cr.A xx qcb+A (2 hits) xx A level 2
If you grab them, which combos from his light attacks (and close C I believe): juggle with qcb+c (1 hit) xx C level 2
Without meter: juggle with late qcb+C (2 hits), 3rd hit whiffs, reset with st.A
Also, a little known fact, is that after Kaede’s normal throw, his A fireball special is unblockable.

Nas: Be careful with Terry elbows, as the last one is easy to punish with GCFS. But if they try to punish the 2nd, and you do the third, you should be ok. You can combo with close C, d/f+C xx B elbows x 3, OTG Power Wave. It’s just that usually, since meter is basically free, B buster wolf or the geyser juggle I mentioned earlier are better choices from the 2nd elbow. I always use B versions.
Alright Im offically turning to the darkside and I wanna learn Marco, whos the best Marco player so I can watch some match vids, oh and DG can u link his primer. Oh and Cajunstrike, does Terry have a effective preasure string combo that does good gaurd break damage.

I’m surprised nobody mentioned following up Kaede’s command grab with a DA (or SDA with Moriya if you want to be fancy) since that can be the turning point in a match if the opponent has plenty of red health just waiting to be knocked away.

I tried to punsh Ryo’s jab upper but even on wiff its just too safe. As far as Robert goes, I cant get in and I cant punush anything on block.
So ideas on punishing those characters?
