I need some info with Tung vs Ryo and K’ vs Robert
I tried to punsh Ryo’s jab upper but even on wiff its just too safe. As far as Robert goes, I cant get in and I cant punush anything on block.

So ideas on punishing those characters?

Play Ryo and Robert safer than normal and dont be dive kick happy…get in via floating (aerial qcf+p) and other tactics vs. Robert as well (EX Rush punch)

Okay but its a level one and it worksgood yes…but the Level 2 does more damage…thats a nice different way to play Kaede but I am sure as you know for damage go for Level 2…

I’ve experimented with that stlye of play with Kaede but it also depends on how fast you build meter with your battery character.

I spend meter like crazy with karate’s hou so koukens (one of my main weapons against my biggest threat - marco). I can pull off that other super when I’m in the blue, unlike the lightsaber.

It also looks really, really cool.

Don’t do Lightning Super after the command grab, unless it will definitely kill and then ONLY supercanceled from :qcb::p:. A waste of meter in my opinion.

The :snkc: Lightsaber WILL connect over the HCF+K but you have to do it fairly quickly.
:snka: Lightsaber is easier to connect but does significantly less damage so I never use it.

Main follow-ups:

–standing :snka: reset into throw/:snkb: mix-up
–:qcb::snka: SCed into Lightning Super
–:qcb::snkc: SCed into Lightsaber

cheap_shot: Kaede is a threat because of the damage from his level 2 super, done with C. If you hit the qcb+C straight up, you actually want to cancel the 3nd hit (not the first), and cancel is late, right before Kaede hops for the third hit. You’ll know you’ve done it right when they land on the lightsaber and it does a shitload of damage.

His other B&B with the level 2 super: cr.B, cr.A xx qcb+A (2 hits) xx A level 2

If you grab them, which combos from his light attacks (and close C I believe): juggle with qcb+c (1 hit) xx C level 2

Without meter: juggle with late qcb+C (2 hits), 3rd hit whiffs, reset with st.A

Also, a little known fact, is that after Kaede’s normal throw, his A fireball special is unblockable.

Nas: Be careful with Terry elbows, as the last one is easy to punish with GCFS. But if they try to punish the 2nd, and you do the third, you should be ok. You can combo with close C, d/f+C xx B elbows x 3, OTG Power Wave. It’s just that usually, since meter is basically free, B buster wolf or the geyser juggle I mentioned earlier are better choices from the 2nd elbow. I always use B versions.

Is there any way to fix the slow down on the American release? What the hell is the deal? We waited forever just to get a shitty version of this game. I don’t remember ANY slowdown in the Japanese version.

I wonder if the SNK boards are getting slammed over this.

no… the good thing about EX rush punch is that it can BLOCK projectiles (non super) while it is actually moving toward the opponent, at any other point in it it sucks and will be beaten out by anything.
