you can probably use the fist cancel like everyone else… dustloop has an explination of it I don’t know enough of shin’s moves to tell you for sure.
Jeez, half of QMZ’s matches…the opponent just duck blocks the entire match and eats like 5 overheads. He basically gets free combo practice heh.

3/5 should be standard since whoever wins the first round is almost guaranteed to land a fatal ko early in the 2nd if they didn’t already do so in the first.

Reminds me of the first HnK match I saw…2nd round starts, Shin does boost into grab then proceeds to deliver the FATAL KO!! Made me lol for a long time ;p
Wow I just had a 3+ hour FOTS session with a friend earlier today, and it was not pretty. Got owned with 23 losses and 2 wins(3 round matches). My friend’s Juda is a Monster, and his Souther next to juda is not as bad but still owns me.
We are both new to it but he seems to be picking the game up a lot faster. Need to get better with Ken and mamiya. Also what is with Kenshiro’s launcher and flying kick? Launcher seems to only hit standing opponents, and his flying kick appears strictly for anti-air purposes and nothing more, it almost always passes right through crouching/standing opponents.
I thinkt hat weird “kara-cancel into nothing” seems like something I had happen a number of times with Souther (maybe it’s just him).
I’ve tried wakeup throw, and it’s actually given me the reversal, but then I’m counter hit. It may be related…don’t know if arcade has this or not, but Souther at least seems to have a throw whiff animation…again, looks like the beginning of his stand C, but it doesn’t finish. This also occured more than once.
I also don’t know if the throw whiff was in the arcade or something widely known. 
Just got this shit, and this game is great. I live in Atlanta, so there was no arcade that had this game. I just wish I new some more about the game system or played this game somemore.
On the 2/3 or 3/5. Yeah, the 3/5 works. This comboable IK stuff is cool, but to counteract that we need a longer match.
I believe ya. My knowledge on the game at this point is still kind of low. This really did seem like a whiff throw animation though…it happened when Juda jumped back. It may not be there and it could just be some other shit that happened, but if throws take at least 3 frames, then its weird to think about when the game distinguishes between a close C or a throw without a whiff animation. Maybe it just depends on proximity and neutral.
I just thought the reversal throw counterhit was odd because I can just hold back and mash C, and instead of me getting counterhit on my close C, the game gives me a throw that’s not really a separate command.
Any new people like me want money matches at EVO? I hella just started this game 2 days ago… Don’t want no bitch who’s been playing since it came out. Bring it!
Same goes for my Mamiya stuff. It must be all sorts of stupid now, I don’t even want to look at it. I’ll see what’s where once I relearn the game.

I’m loving the game so far, and it can only get better. It’s been a while since we had that feeling of being a newb in a fighting game that wasn’t simple to understand. I’m loving Shin so far. That girl seems interesting too because it reminds me of Bridget:lovin: But she doesn’t seem top tier enough to play with, but she is fun. I know the top tier, so I guess I’ll learn them too >.<
