Yeah I know, it’s typical going for High tiers to win matches.
I would love too see matches with different characters which is more exciting to play and watch, Toki and Rei matches and tourneys are just too boring!
I forgot to ask earlier, but whats your guys general opinion on 2/3 or 3/5? I’ve been playing 3/5 for the last year and hope that will be the standard for all tourneys here in the US.
Oh man Msin is my hero. That guy just does all sorts of silly combos just cause he can.
Also in response to 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5, I think that at low level it’s fun to have a 2/3 system it can help teach caution and how to make sure you land your combos especially ones that take off stars, but once the game reaches a high level where execution is no longer the issue, the only way to make it so the instant kill metagame doesn’t get out of hand is the 3/5 system. I would say try it 2/3 and then if losing the first round and then instantly losing the second starts to get to you I’d switch to 3/5 also 3/5 after everyone knows their characters combos and can do them, because at least for my group right now it seems we get too many time over matches or matches that come down to the wire to make 3/5 as much fun, but that is rapidly switching as we are getting our combos and instant kill setups down.
Tian if you want to me to frame analyze anything, I run my PS2 through a capture card anyway so I can probably see what’s up with stuff. That is assuming there is anything to look at anyway.
Wada, Dan, you can really do that?! Awesome. Write down every move’s execution, recovery frames! Just kidding. It comes out all the sudden I am quite surprised. I will think of something tonight to get you busy later:) Thanks for telling me that.
