The Next Fist of the North Star/Hokuto no Ken thread

Seriously man you are the shit for this scene.

thank you and

Wow, that was awesome…

Dan, could you try to analyze Shin’s 2B > 2B > 2D > 236D > JC? I want to know which frame(s) I should input the JC after 236D for the fastest JC that connects. Too often opps are able to tech before JC hits. I don’t know how to connect it more consistently maybe this will help. Try this combo on different characters especially Rei, Raoh and Toki. They seem to have a faster recovery time and able to tech away more often than others. Perhap try 2B > 2C > 2D > 236D > JC as well to see if opponent’s recovery time is longer due to that 2C. Thanks.

2B, C xx CD
A, B, C xx CD
2B + Boost, C xx CD(good use from range)
A, B, D(2 hits), Boost, A, B, C xx CD

Any chance this game could make it to Evo 2008?

What’s the timing to activate Thouther’s super during his specials?

which super?

Just a simple question (sorry if it’s been asked before), does this game have tech throws? I swear I went for the throw input several times and got thrown a few times, I watched to see if there was any indication of a clash or tech escape, but couldn’t see anything.

I just read the start of tianyuan’s guide, and it says throws have “non-zero startup,” does that mean that throws have priority and some beat others?

HELP!!! i got my copy today and swap magic 3.6 i thought i installed everything correctly but the swap magic disc wont spin my ps2 is a slim line scph 75001

I think he means canceling Thouther’s 236 moves into his dive super.

As for throws, there are no tech throws. No priority either, it’s just whoever throws first usually.

Yea we should. Are you guys playing today?

Gwyrgyn Blood, please help me to analyze the simple combo I posted above please, sniff sniff:D

Al, if your playing HnK, call me so I can transpass over there and try to figure out whats going on with that game. YOU KNOW I’M FREE ALL WEEK

While reading tianyuan’s FAQ I saw this combo
2B>2D>236D>JC>236C+D

Doesn’t matter who will answer this but what does the JC mean? Jumping C?

Forget swapmagic. Hard Drive+HDadvanced is the right stuff, its hella easier, and works with the game. I don’t see why the superior hard drive method is not as commonly known as this swapmagic garbage.

Also faster load times since when playing straight from the disc, it would be about 2-4 seconds for each match to load. Playing from the HDD eliminates the load times.

Probably because it’s a lot more expensive than using the simple swap magic method that most people use.

I don’t know…but happy b day damn it. Mine was 2 days ago (21)

JC = jump cancel. It means the move before it can be cancelled into a jump so you basically jump during that move. Dustloop people don’t use F,B,D,U commands. Anything that is a number is a direction. Anything that is not a number is a button or a special type of command.

It is only about $40 for a good 80GB hard drive, and $30 for the network adapter and Hdadvanced discs. Unless someone is assbroke, that is not expensive at all and is a totally worthwhile investment in the long run for all the great stuff it can do. If one has a network adapter and decent hard drive laying around already, then he just has to get the discs.

To each his own i guess.

This isn’t tech talk. Let’s keep this strictly to HnK.

Anyway, I’m gonna finally play the game today and TRY to practice some of these combos.
