I wish like hell I could take that trip to Japan with you guys but, since I’ve never really played anyone outside of the people I beat up on around here I wonder were my game would stack up?

I have no competition in my area too, and that’s why I want to go to Japan for serious challenge. The good news is that MF2 staff already told me they welcome us, but you’d better be “good” to go there, lol. Practice, study match videos, perhaps travel around warm up a bit…

soundwave23, you have to learn how to recover from combo miss with Raoh. And how to break opp’s defense as well. For example, good player turns miss timed 2A after spike in to a great opportunity to crush opp’s defense while others give up at that point… HnK is not just a game you can win with learning 2 combos. There are plenty windows to sneak in jabs, kicks, backdash, throws, etc. Discover the “hidden” options are pretty fun too.

Your right i basicly depend on 2 main combo’s 1 for eating away stars quickly and the other for damage (55%), but i am learning bit by bit. I am kinda relieved to read for example pharaon: it took him a year to be “decent”?? lol your decent is my expert mode! (Pharaon you are realy good, decent? more like expert i have saw your videos). So i cant expect to be realy good in a few months thats for sure. Yeah this game is easy to pick up, conserning basic combo’s. But in order to be realy good you need to practise a lot. And yes i to have the same problem, not enough people playing this game. Here in Europe to be more precise Holland (the netherlands). Its even worse i only know 3 people willing to play this game, and even then only for 2 hours or so, or less. While the others of my group are complaining and whining about how broken the game is:wasted:. Strange the game looks and feels great although the game is kinda “artificialy” made difficult hence you need to practise a lot. Thanx for the tip buy the way tianyuan. “Expert” could apply if I can beat any top Japan players.
For now, I’m just “decent” to “OK” since I never really played against guys who were really stronger than me, except Benj (but I beat him …).

To be honest, there are only 3 things that are really broken in the game.

• 100 % Combos
• Ground bounce stuff
• Toki’s Sekkakou
  (-Rei’s infinite 623HP too but that’s another story, since it’s arcade only)

Everything else has a solution, and guys who start playing just don’t want to find out as they may think “why would I bother for a game no one plays ?”. That’s a mistake IMO. I respect japanese players for that : instead of whining and complaining, they always try to find solutions, and they usually share their tips (except before Tougeki lol).

Think other games are more balanced ? KOF XI has lots of no-skill childish 100 % tag combos, Guilty Gear has 50 to 80 % combos (few of them don’t even use Tension …), Yun’s Genei Jin full combo makes around 60 % damage in a game you barely approach 30-40 % with some characters, etc …

lately i haven’t been playing the game much due to lack of comp and the fact that aside from me, dan, nestor, and tian EVERYONE who plays that game only learns their characters 50% combos and thinks that thats enough. So if you really are coming Pharaon then i will be practicing hard once again. THATS RIGHT IM COMING FOR YOU!!!

I will be going back to those times where i practiced 10 to 17 hours a day starting right now just to win this event. If i do will put school aside and join you guys this November, otherwise it will depend on my grades.

Grey Rei is good but there are better CD combos to do. I was expecting him to FKO that last CD. Didn’t see blue Rei do too much but the only advise i can really say for him is to learn when to advance and when to zone. Same thing with Ferthen, and get those sai loops down! Toki player seems to know what to do just too many random supers and dropped combos.
Boubra and Asenka had a real nice battle. Minus the few dropped combos they did pretty well. Asenka may have an easier time with that bnb combo if he 5A’s when he lands instead of 5C. If you want to do more damage do 5C, jB, jC, 236D, 66B, jC, 5A, 5C instead of 5A, 5C, jB, jC, 236D, 66B, jC, 5C.

Most of the players who entered the ranking battle don’t play HNK on a regular basis so it’s rather difficult to rise the general level at this game. Thanks for the comments anyway.
