I hope they rip off Power Stone and do a good job and also add classic controls option.
Carmilla w/Laura assist=you’re already dead! :nunchuck:

Lets hear a confirmed Soma!
Carmilla confirmed = awesome. I really want to see if this game turns out good. I like what I see so far at least.
Yeah, Carmilla’s been around since CV2 Simon’s Quest (floating mask boss) and is based on an old Vampire Horror novel. So she’s definitly a classic. So now if Medusa doesn’t make the cut I won’t mind, we already 4 females (Sypha Belnades of CV3 is a woman) man that’s more than Tatsunoko vs. Capcom so far. Yo where are them Tatsunoko babes lol!
Don’t worry about TatsuCap, I’m sure they’ll put them in sooner or later.
Any way…another vid.
Yep…this is definitely looking like Power Stone. And Simon’s Super attack looks suitably awesome.
Yeah I’m just worried TVC will be another MVC1 where all of the females come from the Capcom side, Marvel assists don’t count. Get them 70s hair and bell bottom wearing broads in their Tatsu… :lovin: J/K. Game’s shaping up nicely otherwise. After SF4 it’s the fighter I’m looking forward to the most.
On topic - Simon Belmont’s super is hella awesome! And that background looks like it was ripped straight out of the final stage of Castlevania 1, 3, Super, X, etc. just given a 3D overhaul. Nice! Can’t wait to play it. :woot:
Watching the Konami E3 footage now. Whoa they used Richter’s English actor for Dracula X on the PSP to voice Simon Belmont, you can tell when he says “WHAT?” Alucard’s super is in there too, looking good! Oh and I saw Frankenstein AKA The Creature in the Castlevania DS game, hooray! Konami’s making moves! Back to watching.

Those voice clips for Simon are largely just used for the sake of “place holders”. They’re only for this build of the game. The “real” stuff will be implemented in the final build.
omg Maria looks soooooo broken!
:lovin:
Any word on who’s doing the music for the game yet? Will it be Michiru Yamane? I can’t hear much in the way of music. I’m already humming “The Legendary Belmondo” track from Curse of Darkness when I see Simon in action, heh (though, I guess Theme of Simon would be more fitting)
lol, what else is new? Maria’s ALWAYS fucking broken.
at least they toned her down a little bit in the PSP remake of SotN. She was absolutely nuts in the Saturn version of the game, but yeah. She is always broken
fuck that, i was looking foward to her being broke as fuck in the psp version
>:|
fear not, I didn’t say she wasn’t broken. I just said she wasn’t as broken
Well to be fair, at least she isn’t “dual wielding Crissaegrim/Valmanway” broken.
true, haha. That’s why, whenever I play now, I don’t get those, use holy water, soul steal, etc, etc, etc.
I cannot wait for this to come out.
That actually looked really good and fun, I was almost expecting to be dissapointed but I’m not! Too bad we didn’t get to see any new characters.
I don’t know if this is of interest to any non-3d-artists but…
Weird how they didn’t go the whole way and used it all over the characters. I guess they wanted the anime look, or maybe the Wii can only take so much normal maps… Still, nice to see on the Wii.
Oh, and it’s not just textured like that, the picture is from one of the new videos. It’s more visible in motion.
Ehhh. The videos I’ve seen haven’t impressed me. I don’t particularly like how everything flows so artificially- especially Maria’s attacks.
There’s a good chance it plays much better than it looks right now, though. I’ll hope for the best, because there is a lot of potential here.
