Still not a fan at all of the art style, but the gameplay looks surprisingly good. Hopefully they ditch the waggle controls in favor of something a bit more solid and there may be hope for this after all.

update:
someone kill the character designer of this game already…
so eric is now a girlish young boy even tekken 6’s leo is manlier. and death well… look at this crap…
+1
Kill him plz
Okay, I’m getting a little concerned about the artist getting waaaay too much creative freedom.
Light Yagami looks way too much like Simon Belmont.
Wowwwwww…this is really strange. One question I’d really like the answer to is, why?
Heh, the crazier the character designs get the more I dig it. Gimme Misa Misa Medusa NOW!
Disregard my last post, I want to see this!
ya the character designs aren’t shit right?
Or Frankenstein! (no homo)
With Eric on the Wii hopefully the demand for downloadable Bloodlines will increase and Konami finally tosses it up on the Virtual Console.
I’m betting the new character Aeon will be the one who travels through time to get everyone together.
Eric could just be…younger? Death looks sorta similar to his final forms in some games.
I’m more mad about Alucard/Dracula/Maria myself.
Alucard looks ok it’s just that his previous design looked so much better.
I’ll stay optimistic about the gameplay…
at least its not as bad as akira toriyama’s copy paste…
“I can’t live in a world without Igor!” :looney:
At this point, I can only be left to wonder what fate has in store for the likes of the CV3 Trio and Cornell, the Wolf-man.
Cornell’s either going to be turned into either another pretty boy, or he’ll be this game’s Jon Talbain/Gallon (playing up his werewolf aspect). At this point, I’d much rather see the latter than see him turned into another waif like Eric…
Nice to see so many CV fans here!
Castlevania is my all-time favorite series, so you can imagine my surprise when I heard about this. That said, outside of the character designs (which aren’t all bad. Only Simon and Eric’s designs raise my ire) this game looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’ll be pretty simple to pick up I’m sure as the control scheme for the Wiimote involves pressing a single button and wagging the 'mote to use a powerful attack, and simply wagging the 'mote to use a weaker attack.
I’m a big Power Stone fan so this looks pretty interesting to me, though I don’t know that I’d buy a Wii for it.
By the way, if you’re at all interested, this guy Serio in the CV community has developed a 2D Castlevania fighting game. The demo is still in need of beta testing from what I’ve heard, but if you want to check it out, here it is: http://serio.piiym-net.com/CVBla/
Here’s to hoping Julius and Soma get in…
They won’t unless its as a secret unlockable character, and IGA has confirmed only 14.
Simon, Eric, Maria, Trevor, Grant, Sypha, Alucard, Death, Dracula, Cornell, Shanoa (from OoE), Carmilla, Aeon (new character), and Golem are the confirmed roster for this game.
It’s hard to believe that Richter isn’t there. I would have thought that he was a shoe-in!
