I finally got my hands on this and it’s better than I thought it would be. But I gotta know what control schemes everyone is using. Because I’ve used the GC controller and WiiMote and it’s hard to know which one I’ll actually use. I’m really leaning toward WiiMote if I could just get doding and focusing down pat. But I won’t really know until I actually put them both through some real battle testing.

Y’all know what it is and what to do with it. I’ll gather all the other FC’s in the thread and add them as soon as I can.
Using Wiimote myself. It’s not as accurate as a controller at first but it’s actually pretty entertaining as you can imitate things without worrying about executing the wrong move.
I played more last night mainly with the GC controller. I really like Config C since you use the Z Trigger for subweapons and if feels natural to play like that. And now I really see the fighting system for what it is. It’s pretty much a Castlevania game with fighting elements and not a fighting game per se. I wish you could do your own configurations, but I’m at the mercy of the control schemes given. I really wanna get into WiiMote control, but dodging is weird and random as fuck. Hopefully in the sequel they’ll fix it along with the shaft they gave Richter, Sonia, Leon, Hector, and Reinhardt.
There’s nothing that confirms this. Besides, Saint Germain said he was a
"traveler", whereas Aeon states that he is a “guardian”.
They may have some connection since both are able to walk around the time
stream, even though Aeon can actually affect time, whereas Germain could not,
or at least never showed the ability to.
Still, is this game even apart of the actual canon? Cause it wouldn’t make sense
seeing as how Trevor does NOT have an eye patch in Curse of Darkness…
Nah, Iga said the game wasn’t canon long ago in an interview when asked about Obata’s redesigns, saying that the game was just for fun and so on.
In the upcoming PS3/360 game, Alucard still looks exactly the same way he did in Symphony of the Night. Ayomi Kojima’s designs, redesigns (Simon Belmont, Dracula X cast) and every game’s character designs that have come after Symphony (Bloodlines too which was prior) still hold up for the core universe.
Anyone want to post a preliminary tier list? I may be completely fucking wrong on this, but I would put Maria, Golem, and Grant in the top tier, and Eric in the bottom tier. Not so sure about the others.
I wouldn’t say Eric is bottom yet.
While his big combos are less practical than the others, the only person I’ve seen who has safer attacks is Alucard and Death when played right.
His air special bounces, his ground special semi-tracks, and his charge is pretty much a Bird IV.
If I were to say anyone was closest to bottom, it’d be Simon.
The guy has too much going against him. His guard crush is slow, his comboes aren’t as good as everyone else’s and he has a hell of a time approaching characters like Dracula.
Just wanted to point out that even if you don’t own a wii(like most of SRK I assume) you can still play this full speed(which in this case is 30 fps) as long as you have a good PC. :wonder:
You can even crank it up to 1680x1050 resolution which makes it a decently pretty game(native resolution is jaggie hell in comparison and a lot of detail gets lost :shake:), but the fps takes a hit.

If only wifi was supported too, that would have been awesome. Well, maybe in the future it will be.
