Alright, game looks kinda fun, I’ll have to admit. But does anyone else think of Dude Where’s My Car? with Aeon going “and then?” so much? :sweat:

Yeah, unless someone comes up with some amazing tactic using it, Rampaging around is just begging for a hyper attack. For now at least, save your meter.

Rage Mode probably sucks, but it’s worth mentioning that the “Burst” effect from its activation guard crushes defending opponents. This leads to a free combo upon activation, assuming you can set it up. A decent combo afterwards is an immediate Piercing Howl (A charge B), BB, jump cancel into B, then land and perform BBB.

Cornell also has permanent super armor during rage mode and guard crushes almost instantly. He can even perform a basic loop combo that goes on for 3 or so reps (BB, jump cancel B, BB, jump cancel B, BBB, deals over 50%).

The problem? Pretty much all of his Rage Mode strings are ground bounce launchers, which can be ground teched to avoid follow-ups. For example, the first hit of his neutral BBB string causes a ground bounce, immediately leading to a tech. This means the previously mentioned loop combo can also be ground teched (my previously mentioned Carmilla combos can also be ground teched after the aerial A + B, sadly).

To be fair, even if they ground tech, they usually end up in a position where they’re blocking more cornell attacks, which may lead to a guard crush. You can also cancel any of the ground bouncing attacks into his unblockable to catch their recovery. I have no idea if it’s possible to evade out of those situations.

On a completely different note, Cornell actually has a real, honest to goodness infinite combo that only works in the corners of square stages. It’s simply BB, wait for the second hit to recover, then BB again (repeat). It’s a fairly difficult link, and you’ll never catch your enemy in that position, but it’s interesting regardless.

Oh, and Grant has an infinite too, though this one works mid-screen. It’s simply B, wait a moment, then link B again. It’s extremely difficult though, almost entirely impractical.

Random question: does the game force you to update to firmware 3.4u if you have anything lower?

Asking since I’ve tried like 1092346 different ways to get this game working on my friend’s Wii and it just refuses to work (enters screen and blanks out). If the question sounds odd to you, it’s because yes, I’m using a pirated copy. But the main reason I am asking is because I may just buy an original copy to play this but my friend refuses to update to 3.4u since it’s not exactly stable (as of yet) to modded Wiis. The reason I never thought of buying an original copy from the start is because I honestly don’t feel like spending 50 bucks for a console I do not own. So don’t bash me please. :stuck_out_tongue:

So yes, I am wondering if the original copy (I’m sure you all are playing originals) forces you to update to 3.4u or not.

And you’re my hero Kamui (you may not know me but I know you :P), simply because of your great technical info. You should compile all the broken stuff from the game. :slight_smile:

Yes you can tech it

Thanks for the kind words Persona, and yes, you can tech the second Carmilla combo. Pretty much any attack that causes the “bounce” state can be teched right as the enemy hits the ground, avoiding follow up juggles. I think the only exception is Cornell’s raged A charge B throw move.

Carmilla’s A+B, A+B special can’t be teched either, but of course that doesn’t put them into a bounce state. Regardless, it’s a pretty important move for her, since it basically gives you a free subweapon attack, time to run away, or whatever else you need to do. Also, you can use stopwatch after it for a free hyper attack.

-At your own risk, spamming, item farming and stalling will be allowed (Stalling will be allowed if timer cannot be modified)
