I fight my first couple of ranked battles thinking i’m gonna do somewhat decent with Aeon. Then this dude named Andy comes in with this Sunglass and tophat wearing Golem that RAPES me. I couldn’t react to any shit that this guy was doing with all of his moves having super armor and shit. I couldn’t run away and I couldn’t try to hold my ground I never once beat his golem in a round. I could see the grab coming but I just couldn’t get out of block online to dodge or jump or do anything!
I fought that Golem before. His rushdown is pretty overwhelming at first, but he becomes far too predictable after a while. I played about 10 matches with him, and he really threw me off early on, but he does the same stuff over and over, so it became easy to counter after a while.

ive never played against a human before, but the game looks kind of interesting
holy water gives everybody fat combos, gives almost everybody a way to easily combo into super too
characters that can combo into ground-hitting holy water on a grounded opponent have a semi infinite. costs hearts every rep and does crap damage, but you can at least do it until you build a full meter then combo the super
for example, eric can do:
B,B -> A+B (3 hits) -> holy water -> run up -> repea
I don’t wanna blame my shortcomings on lag cause this guy knew what he was doing…and yeah he was pretty predictable but I couldn’t do SHIT. I’d know he was going to go for the grab after hitting me with 1-2 punch and I’d try to dodge with Aeon or jump out of it and Aeon would just stand there. I can’t rely on Aeon’s counter stance either cause i did it once and he faked me out with the roll and did a complete 360 and punished me for it. Those 1-2 electric punches HURT. I made him my rival so I could fight him again at some point. Game is still fun regardless though. I could beat his carmilla pretty well but any time I saw tophat golem I was like ‘aaawww…here we go’ lol.
I am starting to really appreciate the Object Attacks. Simon’s in particular actually passes through other projectiles so a projectile spamming Death or Dracula takes quick hits easily. Although I’m starting to think Object Attacking is the only way Simon can really deal with Dracula at all >_>;.
Actually, in general Simon is kind of crappy because his attacks all have horrid startup and mostly bad recovery. But he’s a lot of fun to play so I guess that’s who I’m maining.
I think I am confident enough with the mechanics, so when I get home I’ll post my FC. Let’s get some fight on, yo ^_^.

online makes for some crazy shenanigans. Aeon in particular is annoying as hell online. I cant block his F+B getting up from a knockdown, and rolling out of his command throw is completely up to luck(I don’t have that problem with golem though)
of course there are aspects of aeon in general that piss me off but thats another matter. It sucks that picking dracula against him is a massively bad idea.
Yeah i managed to play this game today. It reminded me of the Bleach game on the Wii except better. I’m still trying to wrap my head around some of the harsh ass reviews. I mean the game has flaws but it isn’t the shitty game that people make it out to be.
To put it in perspective…I felt like I was facing ST Gief…I couldn’t jump regardless of me seeing Gief coming at me from half way across the screen with his hands outstretched. It was that predictable and I felt I couldn’t do anything lol I even tried running away and waiting for Za Warudo clock but he won’t having that shit. Aeon felt like he had full body testicle syndrome during that whole match cause if Golem was in my face at all I was taking damage…one way or the other.
Thanks, what was your handle? I don’t recall playing anyone with Infamous as his handle. I have yet to play that golem yet, hopefully I’ll catch him tonight. Anybody play Yue? His Aeon is annoying as hell.
