lol hahahaha
It looks much better than it did in the initial movies, but still looks like it plays like crap. I’m sure the Purify Weird Soul supers are also going to get old.
I will keep an eye on it. It certainly looks like it’s at least worth a try now.
I might get this game. I’m a big Castlevania fan and beaten all the games expect the 64 games. Does anyone have a list of the characters that’s going to be in it?
Simon
Alucard
Maria
Carmilla
Dracula
Trevor
Grant
Sypha
Cornell
Death
Shanoa
Golem
Eric Lecarde
I’ll be getting the game on day one as well. I’m digging the roster and it looks like a decent game. Plus I’m so sick and tired of the of the castletroid nonsense I’m happy to support something different. Try and play the 64 games, they are the last good castlevania games that they made. Much better than the awful ps2 3d ones. online multiplayer and character customization doesn’t hurt either and a badass soundtrack is guaranteed. To be honest my interest in a castlevania fighter is probably what got me into the vampire series now that I think about it.
Castlevania Judgement IGN review:
so…it’s at least good/decent eh?
Too true, friend. I’d rep you if I could.
I have been talking about Castlevania fighting game for years - like 5 or so. The roster is huge, diverse, and there are a LOT of interesting concepts to be done with grapple character who use a whip, plus using items for super arts. While Judgment is going in a completely different direction than I would have liked, I am happy it is being done. I’ll be getting the game today and I hope to be pleasantly surprised. Really sick of all the Castleroid “fans” who diss this game because it isn’t a traditional game… Jesus.
Also, Sonichuman, Unleashed for Wii looks amazing. Looks like the Blue hedgehog is finally getting a decent 3d game (S3k der bestest).
WHAT THE FUCK
Alucard and Maria but no Richter?
Trevor, Grant Sypha lol
Shanoa but no Soma Cruz? No Julius? Sadness.
no charlotte? no johnathan?
be happy they didn’t rape the shit out of soma, julius, and richter’s designs
he prolly would’ve made soma into a girl
The thought just crossed my mind that there might be hidden unlockable characters?
I thought for sure they’d have Soma, he would be perfect in a “people from different times are gathered”-setting.
Can anyone put up any match videos of this game up? Okay I mean to say real match videos of one of you who own the game. Thanks in advance.
supposedly so far there have been 2 accounts of reviewers saying that the wii version of unleashed is actually better gameplay wise than the 360/ps3 versions…just as an aside…
If you don’t mind ultra scrubby ass videos from a camera on my laptop, yeah I can do that tonight once I get home.
Dude that’s fine with me. Your 99% most likely better than half of the vids I’ve seen. Your from srk I take your word for it…or maybe I shouldn’t in that case? : /
I’m still convinced they morphed Soma into Aeon. But nearly every white hair pretty boy with insane magic look a like to me. That’s not racist, right?
Eh, either way, someone should lose work for turning Grant into Voldo. That shit was uncalled for.
post a sound track here if any1 finds it. music sounds nice.
Got mine! Have to run out and buy Wii-mote batteries and then it’s on. :lovin:
I was against it at first, but now that I think about it, the stages constantly force you to adapt to change so it’s not so bad. I mean, unlike DOA or MKDA where you can just move to a trap and sit there until they come to you, here, the stage elements indiscriminately target the players. This makes turtling a lot less reliable and can even work to your advantage.
Still, it’s a Wii game so I could care less.
Played through Simon’s story mode, pretty cool! Waited for about 10 minutes for an online match, no takers. Damn Wii owners who only buy Nintendo games… :annoy: Seriously I got Mortal Kombat vs. DC matches in like no freaking time on day one. Soccer moms get on this! Blarg… :wasted:
Yeah, I needed batteries for my Wii-mote 'cuz you can’t really operate the system without one, but I straight up played with the Gamecube controller heh!
Nice game! It’s like Smash + Power Stone + your regular anime/manga smash like fighter. The moves aren’t complex, just button presses and regular combos. Seriously, you can perform supers just by pressing X. So it’s easy for anyone to pick up. A party game like they say. Can’t say if there’s depth or not at this point, but it’s fun.
You can hear the dialog in either Japanese or English! I tried to listen to the dialog in Japanese like I do most of the time, but Simon REALLY sounds like a bootleg version of Yagami Light, so I put it back in English really quick.
It’s a real treat for longtime Castlevania fans! When you meet Carmilla you hear some Castlevania II music, for Alucard you get Symphony music, for Trevor Castlevania III music, etc. :lovin:
So far the items don’t seem to broken to me except that damn Stopwatch! Joint will freeze you while someone can mess you up, especially if they catch you with a super oooh… :wasted: The other items I’ve seen so far didn’t do too much damage, but again this is just under an hour of play.
About the story - Due to the time rift in the game, characters are showing up at different points in their lives. Eric here is showing up before Bloodlines, that’s why he’s young. Cornell is at a point in his life where he is a werewolf 24/7. An interesting twist is that Sypha is showing up before she met Trevor Belmont, and Trevor is coming from a time where they are already married! Ah, the plot thickens! :wow:
Simon looks like he’s showing up after Castlevania II since he seems to know of Carmilla who he faced in that game. His journey starts after he defeats Dracula and he goes off to destroy some of his lingering Vampire minions. After his final boss fight in the story mode since I don’t want to spoil much, it’s obvious that you have to beat story mode with just about everybody to get the true ending.
Haven’t connected my DS to the game yet, but the instruction manual says you can unlock Shanoa by progressing through the story mode. Don’t have her available yet so you probably have to play a lot to get her without purchasing Order of Ecclesia.
All and all a solid game. Nice graphics too for the little Wii that could har har! Now someone get online in this game so we can play gosh darn it… LOL I’ll be on again tomorrow looking for fights, wish me luck… :wonder:
Played the game a bit. My first reactions:
Seems REALLY simple. That isn’t a bad thing, as mashing A is actually exciting. Gaurd Crushing is pretty cool - you can’t just wing it cuz it you can get hit out of it, but the ability to counter and have no limit is very cool. Also, I am sure the stages make up for the simplicity, making a deeper “Actions Versus Game” as Iga calls it.
A few sound glitches have occurred, but nothing major. US VO is hilariously dumb. Japanese isn’t much better, IMO. Music is hot, even if MIDIish. The game feels really fast, which is a plus for me. Loading times are annoying, but aren’t a big deal.
Items are awesome. They feel really well integrated in the game system.
Hyper Moves are… okay. Totally bad ass to watch, but the fact it is only a one button attack is scary. But it does make the game more about mindgames and reacting than execution, which is a plus for some people.
I haven’t even checked out any other mode than Versus. I will be available to play online Friday morning - who is game?
