Wow, the dude that drew Death Note most have not have ever even seen Grant if he thinks that is a good design for Grant. He turned that boy into a semi-pretty Voldo.
I pleasantly surprised and happy that the N64 Castlevanias were completely wiped from the time line like the GB games.
Yes the N64 games as well as some GB games were removed from the timeline, but all of them except for Castlevania Legends (third GB game) were reinstated. If the N64 games weren’t canon it would be kind of strange for Cornell to be in the game (not that it matters too much, I suppose).
As far as I recall, everything sans Legends (Game Boy) are indeed back in the time line. Cornell, and his quest are indeed canon.
Armor Cornell is pretty funny. I guess being able to transform into a werewolf doesn’t cut it anymore.
Yeah Circle of the Moon and the 64 games were put back in the canon, Igarashi dubbed them as side stories recently (about a year or so back) and not important to the overall plot, but canon. Legends is still the only one that isn’t canon. It’s mainly because Igarashi for the longest time did not want a main female protagonist in Castlevania. Of course there is Shanoa now due to fan demand since fans wanted a main female protagonist, but Legends is still out of continuity.
Circle and the 64 games were removed before most likely because they were flops lol! That’s usual Konami practice. Ha ha every Contra game that sucks have been removed from it’s canon. :lol: The other Castlevania 3D games, Lamont and Curse have always been canon though for whatever reason. Probably 'cuz Igarashi worked on them… :wonder:
Oh and Judgement of course is out of continuity too, for the time being like Igarashi said before. Unless they want to get crazy and change their minds about that… The story does involve TIME TRAVERUUU so…

This game’s art is so hit or miss. And when they miss, MISS they do!
Grant’s design is sooooo bad… is he dead? That’s the only justification I can think of for turning him into a mummy! There is no semblance of the old Grant in there. Why not just name him something else and have him be a brand new character? It’s like they just threw Grant’s name on there to please old fans.
The problem with Shanoa’s artwork is that they took everything cool about Shanoa and basically threw it out the window. For instance, official artwork of Shanoa really portrays her as a bold, confident woman with flowing long hair and slender limbs. This NEW artwork makes her look like a timid little girl. I think this guy is just nuts.
No matter. I’ll buy this game day 1 anyway just because it’s Castlevania.
Grant’s always been dead. Killed by Dracula before Castlevania III. When you encounter him in Castlevania III he’s a zombie, after you kill him he’s a ghost that can possess Trevor.
Didn’t they remove legends from the timeline because it heavily suggested that Sonia’s child was fathered by Alucard?
There was that too. Iga was really up in arms about the female lead though mostly. At the time he went on about how the storyline dynamics of the series change if it’s Dracula vs. a woman instead of a man.
