YCS Toronto is going down now. http://www.konami.com/yugioh/blog/?cat=41
As is the Sealed Play YCS Brussels. https://tcg.konami-europe.net/coverage/
Double post but the winner of the first September Format YCS isâŚ
Dragon Rulers.
lol
Well, the Top 32 was pretty varied actually so itâs livable. Plus theyâre nowhere near as dominant.
Top 32 (28/32 Known)
8 Dragon Ruler Variants
4 Mermail
3 Prophecy
3 Dragunity
3 Evilswarm
1 Geargia
1 Madolches
1 Fire Fists
1 Infernity
1 Herald Agent
1 Blackwing
1 Constellar
the way the dragon rulers interact with each other is just stupid even w/o baby/rejuv
^^theyâre beatable thoâŚthey donât get stupid pulses like last format âŚimperal iron wall, well timed maxx câs, starlight road to defend rose plays.
You canât take this YCS and its results COMPLETELY seriously. Players literally had one week to prepare for the new format, which was made worse when people were caught off guard by the OCG and TCG List differing and having to double back.
Dragon Rulers were one of the decks that differed the least between the lists. Between that and the minimum time between formats, it makes sense that people would fall back on that. On top of that, I donât think people were THAT prepared to see a ton of DR decks thinking they werenât going to make as much of an impact. Side Decks were likely all over the place.
The next couple of YCS tournies should really tell us how things will shake down. Players will be more prepared for the Rulers, and their own decks will likely adjust to the new format better.
dragon rulers are still the most flexible âengineâ besides maybe blackwings, which donât possess a lot of firepower.
That much is true. But theyâre nowhere near as dominant. But if they maintain the strength they showed at Toronto theyâll likely all be Semiâd by December.
What do you guys make of Dark World? I faced a pretty good one, but Iâm not sure if theyâre any strong like the Blackwings
Ah yes, Dark Worlds, one of my signatures. They are what theyâve always been.
Linear playstyle. Deadly when it goes off. Easily sided against.
Skill Drainâs more relevant so that helps. Mermails are too which doesnât.
Should be interesting. But again, EASILY sided against.
@Saitsu you have any solid Dark World builds? Iâm wondering if it should be a Grapha build or a slight different build?
Of course. Just depends on what exactly you want.
Lavalval Chain, Infernity Loops are so brokenâŚ
Infernities to go up in price in T-Minus 10⌠9âŚ8âŚ
People already knew Infernityâs power. Itâs nothing new, they havenât been touched in multiple lists, and they got a new weapon in Transmodify.
Unless they start topping like crazy though they wonât rise much in price. Transmodify will be the one getting a price jump. Damn thingâs is varying from $40-60 right now. I knew itâd be a potentially good investment but I didnât expect the price to jump that quickly.
Getting Yugioh cards is like playing the stocks.
yugioh economy is too funny
AhâŚso close to the optimal Crystal Beast build. SoonâŚthey will rise.
And @The Co-Jones do you still need a Dark World build? If yes, what type?
Whats the Crystal Beast build your going for?
