I know what Morphing Jar’s level is, trust me. I wanted him to work so bad.
The problem is actually as you stated. He’s ONLY good if you set him early to the point that the opponent doesn’t even know what you’re playing. If they know you’re playing DW’s, they know that 90% of the time that’s Morphing Jar. The only time it isn’t is when it’s Trance Archfiend, and that’s only getting set if you have something Banished.
At 1 Copy, you’ll never see Morphing Jar consistently enough to make that first turn appearance to get its effect off consistently to little penalty.
People keep trying to bring him back because now they think he’s a replacement for the mass plus of Card Destruction but it really isn’t.
But whatever. I’m not going to raise too much hell if people run him or whatever they want as long as they stand by their decision steadfastly. I’m not going to yell at someone to change what they like. I’m only here to offer my criticism, after that my work is done.
Junk Destroyer, Trishula, Drill Warrior, Black Rose, Catastor, Stardust Dragon, Formula, Scrap Dragon, Formula, Librarian, another level 5 synchro, star eater,Orient Dragon/Gaia Knight Force of Earth,…Seems like what I would go for off the top of my head. XYZs might be a bit hard for the deck to bring out the way you have it built, so I wouldn’t worry too much about those honestly…Maybe stick a Zenmaines or a Fortune Tune in there since you can get lvl 3 monsters out somewhat effectively, and it’d help you stall out while setting up your plays…
How many local players do you guys hang around and duel with? Just wonderin’
Trishula is still banned in the TCG. Unless he lives in Japan, that isn’t happening.
You said Formula twice, I assume it’s a mistake but if not, it’s Limited.
Orient Dragon is worthless when Synchros rarely stay out more than one turn.
Things like HTS Psyhemuth, Armades Keeper of Boundaries, Mist Bird Causolas…those are quality cards to take a look at from Judgment of the Light, Psyhemuth in particular.
Also looks like it has Shooting Quasar Dragon potential.
It’s time to bring out the Twilight Deck.

Orient was just to give a level 6 target for debris dragon. I like Armades and Mist bird, but I haven’t really seen anything out of HTS…so I’'m on the fence about it…
Trust me, it’s worth it to have HTS.

and i needed more dragon rulers those guys are so stupid. changed my list around now it has 2 tempest.
1 Reincarnation because it’s nice but I don’t need like 2-3 of them, Maxx C because of rise of popularity of D-Hero Mali,Threatening Roar because it’s actually good and will save your ass it’s underrated.
