I think they need to make tutors that also perform a Fusion Summon, or Monster Effects that actually perform a Fusion Summon. Something. They just abandoned the gameplay mechanic…
They abandoned it because it wasn’t that good from the start.
Like I said, the only way Fusions became relevant was by completely changing the rules. Polymerization sucked? Bring in Miracle Fusion. Want Glad Beasts to recycle in the deck? Give them Contact Fusion. Fusions were too specific for very little gain? Now the requirements are much more generic and are put on much better monsters.
Still waiting for the day I see someone win a National with Back to the Wall
Also might start running Psychics again in competitive play for the hell of it till I finish my Blackwing and Fairy deck. Anyone know of any retailers still selling the Fairy Structure deck? Need three of those.
Not sure what the extra SHOULD be, but i’ve got some gimmicks to pull off a quasar dragon if specific cards are in hand/graveyard, but my more reliable cards are probably still Junk Destroyer and Black Rose Dragon. I’ve got TG Lib/Formula Synchron, Junk Archer, Road Warrior, and some other random stuff in there. not sure what’s good / current with the xyz either.
ok so instead of posting a buttload of questions i figured it’d be easier to just post the deck and get tips/critiques from yous guys sooooooo

i guess a ceruli build since i like that he gets u the second effect of dark worlds alot easier. whats the difference between a ceruli build and an optimal build?
An optimal build revolves around recurring Grapha as much as possible since many decks struggle to deal with a revivable 2700 or 3000 beater. On top of that, it also uses things like Dragged Down Into the Grave to control the opponent more. And it’s a lot more likely for the Viruses and Skill Drain to hit first turn and end an opponent.
While Ceruli builds are based completely around getting the Metallic Lords’ (Goldd/Sillva) second effect off as a Win Condition.
While you could use Dragged Down here, chances are the opponent won’t discard Ceruli for you, so we’ll need to go elsewhere for Discard Outlets.
Trance Archfiend will have to be bumped to 3 and you’ll have to remove Skill Drain.
Also, remove Morphing Jar. I forgot to mention it earlier. It’s not good this format either. Your opponent will know it’s Jar if you set it and will only ever set it off when they can plus out of it. Otherwise they’ll likely have a myriad of ways to get it off the field without triggering if need be. In other words, most of the time its effect goes off the opponent will benefit more than you.
Having the two Tour Guides in here will be even MORE necessary due to needing a way to get something to bounce for Grapha.
But I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of Ceruli builds. It’s fun and can go off well but it can get clunky in a hurry. But it’s the choice you decided so that’s my advice for the most part.
Not many people have the leverage to pop on the first and second turn. To play with your opponents head, i always set him with 2 facedowns. Its a fake out to make it seem as though i am defending my self. It works well in desperate situations, and in the first couple of turns.
