Pendulum Wizard and Infinity will be $100 minimum out of the gate due to hype. It will drop or rise based on their meta performance.
You earn your invite at Regionals or higher events to the WCQ (essentially North American championship).
My regionals/YCS/WCQ/Worlds tips:
Donât take ANYTHING you would mind losing. Donât be that guy who has a great binder, but all the first 5 pages are not for trade. You just make yourself a target. Have a small empty box and throw all cards you got through trades in it. Donât bring your âfunâ deck if you can help it.
I say all this as someone who has had their entire collection stolen at a Regionals. If you donât mind losing it, or itâs not your deck youâre playing, donât bring it.
Bring a simple calculator, mini-notepad, pens, pencils, and a playmat. And no, not a playmat with bikini anime crap on it. Judges will make you put it away for the rest of the day. If you have to ask, then no, not appropriate.
When you need a judge, call judge and raise your hand, and keep it up. Judges canât find you if you donât keep your hand raised. Appeal if you donât think the ruling is right. Itâs your right. Just donât go saying âmy opponent deserves a game loss because they made so and so playâ. Thatâs a good way to make sure the judge knows youâre rule sharking. And donât bring up an error like that when youâre about to lose when you already let it go earlier. And donât ask âcan I do thisâ questions. Half of the time, judges canât answer because it would be coaching answer (influencing your play) or giving player information they shouldnât have. If you want to make sure a play is legal in a match, just ask a judge to observe you, then make your play. They will stop you if it isnât, and answer your opponentâs questions on whether it is or isntât.
When you finish a match, de-side, and put EVERYTHING away right away, even if you get trade offers. Getting distracted is a good way for your deck to get swiped. Trade one person at a time.
WellâŚme and my boy may try to buy a case then. Hopefully that should assure us 3 wizards and an infinity. We could probably sell the excess and make a good chunk of change back.
The hand actually isnât amazing. Best youâll get from that is Caesar + Dâarc but itâd cost quite a few resources and Errors is all but irrelevant in the matchup unless it happens to be an Anti-Pendulum Kozmo build (and even then Gate will already be on the board).
Could also instead just go straight Caesar and grab Witch with Kepler and sit on the fact that the Kozmo player will have no decent way over Caesar, but then you risk a lot of burn the following turn.
Man, Iâm really skeptical about buying things from people on the Zodiac FB group and other players in general. I get the feeling that a majority of them want to scalp me on the price and try doing every underhanded thing possible.
I was just venting, I didnât buy from him, with that said, how has you guys experiences been dealing with people over paypal etc? Outside of asking for timestamps and looking for references, anything else I should/could do?
