The New Yu-Gi-Oh Thread: Construct Joins Stratos in the Halfway House

Luster Pend will probably drop a bit when the SE comes out but if you wanna build PePe, buy them now. Alot of people are trying to unload their copies so undercutting could get too real.

The only card they should ban pendulum wise right now is Wavering Eyes. That card is disgusting.

So im trying to play Odd Eyes Magicians and Avian is definitely not needed. I might try Majespecter Magicians but since no one at my locals has the racoon, ill stick with the unicorn and fox with the trap.

Yeah, Wavering Eyes has GOT TO GO!

Also Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is extremely good.

I wanna say crystal wing has the power to dethrone omega for best synchro but itll be hard. Omega is so damn annoying.

And nothing better than seeing ā€œ1 tuner + 1 non tuner monsterā€ for the requirements.

It would dethrone it…if not for the part where the requirements ACTUALLY are 1 Tuner + 1 or more Non Tuner SYNCHRO Monsters.

What? Since I want to play PePe I shouldn’t get Pen? Well, other than that I would be just buying extra deck monsters and getting sideboard options, and grabbing a 3rd wavering eyes, because that card is evil as fuck.

So…someone suggested Mechanical Hound as an alternative to Mist Valley Apex Avian

No, what I’m saying is that if you want to build PePe then I wouldn’t abandon Luster. Just get it. If it gets hit, it’s not going to be banned so you can at least make some of your money back. But if the deck is really what you want then don’t get held back by fear, especially when the deck hasn’t started dominating yet. It took them a year to finally drop the hammer on Nekroz and Shaddolls (and Shaddolls had stopped deserving it by that point).

No. Just no. Too easy to get rid of, way too annoying to actually make live and way too easy to go sideways.

That’s actually why I haven’t bought Apex Avian and Odd Eyes Fusion, because I plan on transitioning into PePe. Which saves me some money, not a ton but some. So for extra deck monsters via pepe, I can assume I’ll need cowboy and samurai? because the ocg has some nice looking shit like Nyrla, that I really want.

If you have room in the Extra for them, go for it. Samurai is a bit less necessary just due to the fact that you can make Trapeze Magician.

Sorry for replying so late. I feel like I got smacked by Deskbots everytime my opponent drew into machine dupe. I hate that deck though so I probably won’t build it. I’m a bit salty on this Monarch support because everybody else is trying to build it when I’ve had it built for the longest. I like winning more though. I don’t know, I’m a bit ambivalent towards it.

If everybody starts playing that deck, I think I’ll just play the leftover scraps of Nekroz.

It won’t be everyone. Everyone will be too busy trying to survive against PePe.

Well tomorrow comes the time, my boy says he’s only getting 2 Lusters. I may grab three and then use my Christmas paycheck to grab all the other shit, like Vector, Maxx C, Veiler etc.

Ewwww Veiler. Targeting is so bad right now. I haven’t liked him very much even as a tech choice.

You’ll need Veiler in a month so I wouldn’t go about shitting on it.

That’s unfortunate. Breakthrough has been more relevant for me lately because I’ve needed the graveyard effect more often.

So im wondering how non PePe players will try and fight the incoming meteor of clowns and monkyes with a keyboard for teeth?

Ill be running monarchs 2.0 and im not even sure if its gonna put up a decent fight.

Anti-Spell Fragrance for the most part. Pendulum players hate that card with a passion. When they eventually bring that Twin Twister card to TCG they’ll really be pissed.

It’s coming out at the same time and it helps them more than it actually hurts them.

Anti-Spell Fragrance and Mistake are really the only cards that outright combat them, and you need to have them going first. They’re useless going second unless you’re supremely confident you can break their field enough to make it matter.

Here’s how I’m doing it. By not playing. I’m not playing at all until that deck gets fucked with a stick. Monarchs don’t put up much of a fight. The only deck that does in the OCG is Burning Abyss and they have WAY more options than the TCG one (ironically enough).

I just think they are trying to change the game in general. Sucks because I like the old stuff but maybe they are trying to make the old stuff obsolete intentionally.

Oh well, I guess I’m okay with just playing random decks until they completely finish overhauling the game.
