Well fellas, I was going to wait until either after ARG Philly or after the Banlist Dropped to update the thread, but too much shit is happening to let it pass any longer.
First off, Lightsworn Structure is out on Friday. Breakthrough Skill is being reprinted within it. Everyone, pick up 3 of these decks. Trust me. It’s not just Breakthrough, it’s Ehren, it’s Lyla, it’s Judgment fucking Dragon being reprinted. It’s Honest being reprinted. Skill Successor, Charge of the Light Brigade, Solar Recharge…it’s honestly ridiculous how much crap they put in here. It’s the complete opposite of how these structures usually go. It’s worth it.
Secondly, and more importantly…Debris Dragon seems to have been the latest to be Errata’d. And the new effect (if it’s real, which considering the source…seems really likely) changes a LOT.
This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster. The other Synchro Material Monsters must be Level 4 or lower.
(1): When this card is Normal Summoned, you can target 1 monster with 500 or less ATK in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Attack Position. Its effects are negated.
I’m still deciding if I want to drop money on playing a deck. I’m deciding between Madolche, Shadoll, trying to resurrect Six Sam, or try out the dragon deck.
Well between Anjelly, Invoker and Tiaramisu (not to mention the staple Rank 4s), Madolches will drain the wallet.
Shaddolls will be Tier 1 no doubt when it comes out. The deck that actively competes against it in the OCG (Seraph Satellars) won’t be at full power because…well, we won’t get the key Seraphs, we won’t have Number 86 and Shock Master is banned over here. All Shaddolls will be missing is Electromagnetic Turtle. It will definitely be a worthy investment but there’s no saying how much it will hurt the wallet because we won’t know their rarities. Just get a lot of Dark Support for now if you go that way.
Six Sam is the cheapest option money wise (never thought I’d say that) but really it’s not that great of the deck at the moment. It’s up to you.
Rulers…I wouldn’t touch just yet.
Either way, do not commit to a deck until the next Banlist is shown. If you spend money on anything, do it on the Lightsworn structures as I said because it comes with a ton of value…and honestly a VERY playable deck if you buy 3. All you’d need is the extra Synchros and potential Xyz monsters.

Think about it. What’s the one thing Debris Dragon couldn’t do before that it can do now? On top of that, what COULD Debris Dragon do before that it can no longer do now?

Okay, you guys haven’t noticed, which saddens me but I’ll let you know the two big differences. It’s in its conditions.
First, it can no longer synch with anything higher than Level 4. That means no Debris + Ruler = Star Eater shenanigans.
Now what it CAN do now? It can now Synch with Level 4s. It couldn’t do that before. Now it’s a 1 card Level 8 Stardust (Spark)/Scrap Dragon/(Hot) Red Dragon Archfiend
Not as good as star eater though but i guess that’s balanced. I hate watching Star Eater get summoned knowing that you can’t do anything at all. Geargia-karakuri-machina decks can actually summon star eater at the drop of the hat if they feel like it. If your opponent has a facedown thats bothering you than its a great game ender.
