The big thing though is that the potential Slippery Slope that DSF’s errata caused seems to have come into full effect.
Buying 3 of the structure is what I planned to do for Six Sam whent hat structure deck came out. Sadly I was not working at the time, so I couldn’t buy all the Synchros and XYZ’s. I might just wait and save up for buying Shaddolls. And dark support? I’m not following. And the dragons I was talking about were the cosmic ones, the new ones coming out. Unless they’re planning to revive dragon rulers. I was really about to play that deck…and chaos dragons.
Dark Support, aka Allure of Darkness, Armageddon Knight, Dark Grepher, the Dark Creator. Things of that ilk.
And ah, you meant Yang Zing. Yeah, same deal as Shaddolls, just without the guaranteed Tier 1 placement. Well for them you’ll have to pick up a bunch of Synchros and possibly Masked Chameleon as well.
Rulers were revived somewhat thanks to Kuribandit and Soul Charge, but I don’t see Soul Charge not getting sniped on the List so we’ll see.
Even though the ban list tore the original dragon ruler deck to shreds, I’m going to take a stab at it and build it again, just to play with it and see how it felt. I never got a chance to touch Dragon Rulers, so I assume if I build this Dragon Ruler deck I’m going to be looking at what? $200? $300 worth of cards?
Am I stupid? MPBD is 70 ~ 80?!
Edit 2: With Dracossack being that much. Am I better off just buying a box/case of Tachyon galaxy and hoping to pull a few copies of him? Or should I just take the blow and order it?
Edit 3: So how much money do you think I need in order to start off a deck? I mean I want to build a deck and start trading so I don’t have to buy new cards etc. And is it better for me to order singles? Or just buy boxes and hope.
Singles >>>> boxes. I would hold off on building dragons until the ban list is here just so if the deck gets even some support or just gets more shitty, you wouldn’t have wasted your money.
Dragosack has a high chance of a reprint coming so there’s that.
Between the Ban List upcoming and Debris’ possible errata, it would be prudent to wait.
As for Dracossack, it’ll be “reprinted” in the Mega Tin packs, but due to the way they work, it’s still a long shot to pull it.
As for how much money you’ll need to start a deck, it really depends on what deck you’re building. But I’d always have around $150-200 ready for Extra Deck buildup.
Well if the errata on the card changes from “cannot be level 4” to “must be level 4 or lower” is that a good thing? Or is it a bad thing?
It’s a different thing really, at least for Rulers.
Rulers would be unable to make Star Eater anymore (at least not without running something like Delta Flyer) but it would grant increased access to Level 8 Synchs along with Mythic Tree Dragon. On the same note though, Rulers could already make Level 8 plays well enough with Debris due to Rulers being Rulers.
Losing Star Eater in general though probably hurts a bit.
It’s official. When the New Banlist is out, the two new rule changes I mentioned WILL come into play.
That’s right. Both players can control a Field Spell and the major one, the one who goes first does NOT draw a card.
Welp, no one will ever go first, and they just handed the game over to Infernity.
Considering Infernity’s managed like one top in the OCG recently, not really.

I think under either Rule Set they’re going to be Tier 0, Tier 1 at the worst. The only deck that can even compete against it in the OCG won’t even be possible to create over here. The only thing Shaddolls will be missing is Electromagnetic Turtle.
