lol I am practicing . Just curious if there was any bits of advice anyone had. A low stagger eh? i’ll have to look through her movelist again, thx.
That’s a good move for mixup, but is it really working frequently? It’s actually an easy stagger to shake if it lands too. If it’s working, hey go for it, but don’t make it a cruch of yours for Lau, it’ll just form a bad habbit for later.
thank you kind sage.
Ah, there we go. This should help out quite a bit.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
i actually use that string not as a crutch but as clutch when theyre almost dead. if your opponent is too stupid or scared to use sidestep, dash back and go 1pp2p, then follow up for no-execution style lau dmg. i suppose you could mix that up with 1ppp…
id say 95% of people on xbox live wont shake it off. and if theyre that smart just use that recovery time to dash in and give them more pressure.
^ very, very true. I almost always save it for the end of a round/match lol.
Hey guys I picked up the game last week. I have a paper to get done this week but I am up for some games on live.
I barely played part 4 on xbox. So I am extremely new at this. So if anyone wants to get at me to teach me some stuff feel free. Always liked this game and now want to learn how to play.

Oh man, I may have played you… SN seems familiar. But seriously, I got so mad last night playing a goh player, just because I never bothered trying to figure out how to get up fast enough to avoid Goh’s down atacks. I swear, I get killed instantly the second I get knocked down against a decent goh player. Yeah, spread the legs, step on the groin. repeat. FUCK YOU!
“Goh? more like GOH FUCK YOURSELF!” :crybaby:
haha. I don’t really get that mad, but I wish I had more time to play this game to learn the nuances. training mode is only getting me so far. There really are a lot of good players online though.
So far I’ve only used Eileen seriously, but I’m considering giving Jacky a try because I think his counters are awesome. that, and its cool that he gets stoked as fuck when he knocks you on your ass.
YEAH!:woot:
Word. I don’t know if any of you experienced VFers have noticed, but it seems that the input window for stuff like the instant recovery and hit-sensitive moves seems earlier than in 4. I have better luck just mashing for instant recovery myself.
When playing online there’s nothing wrong with spamming the rocovery a little. Just don’t do it to the point where you can’t do a move out of it or block.
why didn’t I know about this??
hey my threads there!
i put vf5 on temporary hiatus- it seemed like a lotta people started playing orangebox/rock band/cod4/halo3/assassins creed or whatever so all i see are 4th kyus or 1st dans.
I love losing every online match I play. Makes me feel like whatever time I’ve put in is totally worth it.
I 've been wondering this for a while, so: Why do some of the cpu players have the same name as some of the posters of VFDC?
Sup guys, I just got the game yesterday and even though i have no idea wtf im doing its lots of fun. Like everyone who starts out, I was getting owned by Lei-fei. What do you guys recommend for new players? Are there any websites/forums/videos that can help me with Kage/El-blaze/Goh. Thanks.
First page is all you’ll need for links to help you with those three. If you come up with specific questions though that you can’t find there, let us know.
What are the proper key mappings for the 360 Hori stick?
I beat J.Wong in one of the Quest arcade tournies
