What bug?
Hey guys…it seems like VF5 is a really sophisticated arcade game. Like, it actually has modes and stuff? And VFTV? I’ve also heard it has options to record your matches, and that’s where most VF5 footage on youtube comes from.
How is it that people can play single player modes and watch VFTV on an arcade machine? Can’t anyone interrupt all that just by pushing Start?
Is there anywhere that lists all the features/modes of the arcade version?

I’m so glad there are no gameplay changes in Ver. D. It’d suck to get Ver C on 360 only to have it obsolete so soon afterwards. It’d be nice if they made the Ver D items and poses DLC though.
If you have a registered VF.Net account you can save matches which Sega encodes for download. Standard account lets you record one match per day. Premium account lets you record 3 matches per arcade a day.
VFTV is viewed on a separate stand alone terminal. Sega shows highlighted matches (some with live commentary from a VF expert) or can stream video from live matches from a tournament.
In VF4 days people customized their character via cellphone or by going online on a PC. When VF5 debuted, Sega introduced a VF Terminal at arcades for easier customization.
Most Japanese arcades have multiple VF setups, some places designate cabs for players by rank and also 1p only setups. (Just like VF5 Quest mode sorta heh heh)
I want more DLC. come on Sega rape me baby. It keeps the game fresh. And, please patch any problems. :looney:

There’s no patch to get. The DLC is three items for each character.

XB only. Um, when I got it I went to the DL content thing in the dashboard, and it was under VF5 along with all the other themese and stuff.
I’m pissed. I feel like I’m handicapped online; I can’t punish ANY of Leifei’s stuff. This is bad, considering that the majority of Live players use him. I use Jacky btw, and I am tired of losing to people who have no strategy or tactics. I try to punish low punches with 6P, high attacks with 1P, evades with 46K+G, and so on, but not only is it just not working, but I just can’t seem to punish blocked strings. I can forget about doing reasonable juggles because of VERY slight lag that does not allow me to throw a jab after a launch/knockdown, so I just have to get my mid/low/throw game down.
are you going thru a router? most of my matches have little to no lag
This game is really fucking hard to pick up and play. I don’t like that about this game. the wakeup setup kind of irks me a little bit as well.
Great game though. I get beasted online because I don’t have time to learn.

that’s just one thing I don’t like about the game.
I think you can learn a lot by just playing. This isn’t as bad as say, Guilty Gear- where you have to spend hours practicing execution. At least in VF you can pick up ideas slowly- and ranked matchups help you progress slowly as well.
It isn’t a game you can just pick up, but you don’t have to be a slave to it like you do with GG.
However, play the computer 1P a few times first before jumping online to get the basics.
I understand that much, What I am saying is it seems to me that the only reason you dont like it so much is BECAUSE you cant just pick it up and play. That is why i responded the way that i did
