The NEW VIRTUA FIGHTER 5 Thread *360 version out on 30th!*

I’ve sent my 360 in twice. Not fun.

Are there a lot of hori’s floating around? Or am I going to have a problem finding one come tues?

I think each profile is actually a separate file ala VF4 Ver. C on PS2. I’m not really sure though. Here’s to hoping, eh?

Thanks for pointing that out or I wouldn’t have known. Suppose I’ll look for some information about which 360 to get.

This is probably a redundant question, but USB controllers do work on 360s, right? So one can use a PS1 stick with a converter for VF5? I sure hope so, because I made my own stick and it would suck to have to buy a Hori for no reason.

Nope. It doesn’t work that way. If you want a stick for the 360, either get the Hori and mod it or get a custom 360 stick.

Granby, here is some info I think would be nice to have on the first page.

Yes, there indeed a ton of character channels and match vid channels you can look up to see how high level japanese play looks like. I will also try to look for some of my favorite to put in the first post.

Thank you to Slide and FallingEdge, I updated with your stuff :lovin:

The Virtua Fighter series is the first and only japanese game and the only fighting game to ever be inducted into the Smithsonian Instituion’s Permanent Research Collection on Information Technology Innovation. The original Virtua Fighter is being kept at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.

Despite stiff competition nowadays by it’s rival Tekken, Virtua Fighter remains one of the most popular arcade fighting games in Japan and it’s scene is very old and dedicated around the world. It really is a game for the ages as main development group of Virtua Fighter (AM2) is dedicated towards the balance, depth, and players of the series.

damn. it has that much of an impact? I guess VF is also a religion lol.

I like this guy’s vanessa play, but I bet you guys dont:

Shou’s Sarah. Probably the dopest.

Somebody got any Jacky video ones???

I’ll be getting it once it’s out so I’ll see you guys online for some games.

I’m loving right now but I’ve played in months so I’m getting back into the grind. I might get online tonight when I get back up to speed…

Check this link and type in your zip code for availability.

It’s true lol. When I purposely evade a move I predict coming, or punish something the best possible way on reaction, I see god.

I can’t explain it. Other fighting games get more fun as you get better at them, granted, but with VF it’s more than an understatement. It just feels like a long learning process that is very rewarding at every little bit you learn and become able to perform.

Anyone in the US get this game besides the guy who robbed a Toys R’ Us?

I’ll be playing this online!:lovin:

true. With this game its more about feeling than thinking. Its all about reacting in the moment. I love the new bouncing system and the hard hits that make them turn sideways.

If this has been shown already my bad-o. But sega sent some site something of the 10 min demo of the customization system, and quest mode. So if y’all giva damn here it is.:

I’ll probably be getting this game this weekend/early next week, to ensure I have cash for Youmacon. I can’t wait though.

Like I said, if they can’t check, you can. I told you where it was located. You can see the MFG date right above the Serial Number. The Serial Number has a Flap on the box so you can read it. If the employees can’t read it then ask to look there before you hand over the plastic/paper. It’s really quite simple.

Also, any good vids of Wolf? I don’t want to start watching some bad matches with him and get the wrong ideas.

look for Bunbunmaru.

^Bunbunmaru is a VF legend but I don’t think he plays VF5 much.

I believe the best VF5 Wolf player is Saraman. A search for him in youtube will bring up quite a few vids. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=saraman&search=Search
