I stayed up all night just practicing combos off dreamcancel for Kyo, god knows there’s a ridiculous amount of combos possible in this game. Why can’t they just list the best mid-screen and corner combo and be done with it? Tack on super or HD combo and thats all you need to outline, jesus it gets confusing with all the combos to choose from.

All I know is that I want to have Kyo on the team at this point, I did some Iori combos but I’m not feeling that. Prolly mess with Saiki some and Bene.

I understand drive and stocks, and the execution for combos in this game doesn’t seem as ridiculous as everyone is making it out to be but then again I may not be doing the most difficult ones either.

I definitely won’t be playing with anyone tonight on KOF because I quite literally have no idea what I would do with the other 2 characters.

I agree on execution man, I may be in the minority saying this but combos in this game seem easier than in SF.

break the dreamcancel combos down into combo starters, followups to certain specials, and HD loops then look at the different combos as options you have to be smart about meter management

then it makes a lot more sense than cr. Bx2, st. B, dp+C (1), (DC) qcf+D, (dash forward) dp+A, (DC) qcf+D, hcb+K = 348 dmg

Yep that sums up Shen Perfectly. And the HD combo i do with Shen works anywhere except when shen’s back is in the corner it will only do 90%. It’s 4 bars for the 100% version and 3 bars for the 95% version. I usually have 4 bars anyway with shen anyway since i dont use meter for king unless i was dumb enough to use the ex trap shot.

Leona is so weird because she’s considered not great but she has SO much good shit going for her. Instant overhead, instant punishes, a great flash kick, he hop A is great, her jump CD is solid. Her horizontal charge punch is solid for weird kof-style zoning happiness.

Yeah man like, I keep hearing she’s low but I don’t count anyone out in this game. I’ve lost to at least two Leona players in tourney. I have no idea what that bitch is doing so I let the bread bake on that ho.

Execution is not a problem. Hold down the button for specials and they’ll fire off as reversals every time.

Real question: What’s the logic of turning off gems in a SFxT tournament? I understand that it might take a moment to set up gems but is there any other reason?

Unless I misunderstood your question the issue is with DLC gems you cant be sure every system will have the same gems available.

IF gems were ever to be allowed, then the only reasonable path is default boost gems only, no DLC gems. No assist gems allowed.

Yeah you def can but if you allow any DLC gems your right back in the same place where you need to be sure that all the stations have all the gems. That might be fine for a 5 station local but something like Evo or whatever thats a nightmare. DLC chars I think are ok but no game has ever had as many as SFxTek will either.

DLC char won’t be problem at all for sfxt it’s only 5 dollars more than all the KOF characters. Plus you get 12 char instead of 3 char.

Alright so I forgot to bring this up earlier but whatevs. You guys know how T&G has me recording fight night stuff right? Well I had an idea for keeping matches and players organized for the YouTube timestamps while not having to be around the setup all the time. I was gonna just set some pen and paper down next to the computer, and all ya do is just write your name, have the second player write his name, and then write the time that the recording is at (it’s at the borrom-right side of the screen on the computer). That way I can leave a recording going for a while without having to fuck with anything over there, and when I go to render and upload videos later on I’ll have player names and time stamps to go by so I know who’s who, and I can mark it on YouTube accordingly. Oh oh, also if you have a specific set or money match or whatever you want recorded, go ahead and label that too along with your name.

Right, so just don’t allow any DLC gems. I thought to ask because some patch came out yesterday that’s supposed to make switching gems faster. I don’t own the game so I can’t tell if it makes a difference or not, but if it saves time then gems should be added unless I’m missing something.
