Yeah - I was thinking that after I left. They had a game truck with it playing on four screens ready to go so everything seemed fine. I even asked when I got there what I needed to do to sign up for it - “just pre-order and take a number” (how amazing I get number 13). Then midnight rolls around and we are wondering when the hell they are going to start this - walk back into the GameStop (from the game truck from playing casuals for like an hour) … “oh we aren’t doing it now” … awesome.
Now pre-orders, correct me if I’m wrong, require you to put actual money down, right?
If that’s the case I would be complaining to someone in management because you guys all put pre-orders down based on mis-leading information. I don’t know if it’s corporate policy for them to flat-out lie to customers because they need pre-orders, but shit is still shady no matter how you look at it.

I get that way too man,specifically the plateau part. Sometimes a break from the game is the best thing. Really you need to play people with solid fundamentals, footsies, and spacing first. Everything else - matchups (very important), gimmicks, option selects, etc, comes after.

Basically he has a 50/50 high/low mixup that leads into real good damage from either option. He can link into full combos from BOTH his overhead and his low. If I’m not mistaken the OH and low are also either safe, or very hard to punish.
He’s definitely someone worth looking into for almost any player.

I saw a Yoshimitsu intro tutorial vid last night, and I really didn’t like what I saw. A lot of his moves’ hitboxes are… underdeveloped? I can’t think of the right word to describe it. Basically, moves pass through the opponent because the hitboxes are so small. They showed his cr.MK, and Yoshi’s foot was just passing through Chun because the hitbox is on his waist. lol
okay, so I decided to get off the 360 for a sec to go play the ps3 version and try the cats… One of the trials was ryu’s sweep combo, c.mp, c.mp, sweep, but their limbs are so pathetically short ;___; I swear that shit is impossible!!

Have you tried chaining the combo. I think that works.

went with my boy to get Cross Tekken last night i was shocked the hickory hill location was even open at midnight…I think only like 4 people showed up., i basically played SF4 on it w Juri and mashed around with a couple characters…I need to learn the tag mechanics and practice it…need to buy it first tho…I know its gonna make me sit down AE once I start playing it on my own, but I dun wanna.

So… SFxT. I think it is a pretty good game so far, I just am incredibly disappointed in Poison. Maybe there’s a large part about her gameplan I am missing, but she just seems very, very poorly designed. I don’t think she’ll be very good at all. I wanted to play her and Akuma but I think I’ll be running Vega ( he’s derpy as fuck ) and Akuma. Akuma seems decent, not a giant threat like Ryu. Soon I’ll just find out the cheapest shit in the game and go to it. All in all I like the game so far as something new to do… But, I KOF is still The King… of Fighters.
Also, Akuma’s fireball hits sound like lasers. Pew pew pew

Coming to fight night tonight though for sure man, let’s get some matches on KoF and SF4… I definitely need Bison matchup advice.
Right now I’m mainly looking at Abel and Marduk, maybe Abel and Gief but Iove Abel right now. He’s not really crazy mixups anymore but his rushdown and pressure game are both better with his chariot tackle. Combos are so cool in this game, extended but not as braindead as Marvel’s tend to be.
G-Ram, how do you use the Chariot tackle? I mained Abel since SF4 vanilla, but from my time with him in this game I’m basically playing him SF4-style plus the chains when I get an opening. Funny you say Marduk, as that’s the exact same team I’ve been playing. MMA All Day - Abel/Marduk.
