The New TN Thread: Jaggas and Bingos all day

What? That doesn’t happen and I’ve been playing the game fine for two weeks. The game has slower links. Never remotely had a “jump” problem.

LOL @ 360 version not having online cross-over with 2 local players … regardless of unique gamertags … so much for those drunken nights …

As everyone else has stated, his High/low mixup looks very similar on startup and you can link into huge damaging combos. Another reason I say this is because if I land st. mk with Bison and chain it into the cross to Heihachi, he finishes it for like 30-40% damage no meter, and I can tag Bison back in for even more damage and since he’s the “footsie” character of my team that leads into Hei’s damage.

Heihachi also has really good anti-airs that lead into just as damaging combos, and has some good normals, but very limited mobility, he’ll probably be easy to lock down with fireballs untill he gets super or EX meter. Heihachi in the corner will be hard for him to escape.

Well I know for sure that light at least at max range is safe, what I’ve been trying some in training is doing the thrust kick and if i see it’s blocked and the mk was at max range go into tackle or if the lp,mp,hp chain is blocked either go into tackle or exTT. Also Abel with meter is sick with EX tackle. My bnb with 1 meter right now is thrust kick, cr.lp, cr.mp, cr.hp, EX tackle, cr.hp, falling sky.

But to answer your question, I’m mainly planning on using it with block strings at max range. Be aware though I haven’t been able to use him in match though, this is all training mode stuff.

Also anyone else think the customization is crap or am I doing it wrong?

Yeah man cool. We’ll do it. Also like, keep in mind that it’s quality of practice, not quantity. How much time have you spent truly getting good matchup practice and training mode? Game’s been out for what, three years? It just depends on how you spend your time.

Also yes, sticking with one character does help, especially when you are learning fundamentals. Once you understand the game’s engine, it becomes wayyyy easier to pick up a character.

*GrinchSmile

But yeah applying that logic to my team, I found some gnarly stuff I could use with Law. He’s got some silly shit I could combo into using chains off of Bison’s footsies as Law can do some nasty damage by himself.

Aight guys. I gotta run an erran for my grandmother then I’ll be heading to fight night. See y’all there!

The netcode for SFXT is ass.

Oh.

I’m on spring break this week but still can’t make it out. I think my dad has drove me enough lately. lol

Yeah. I was playing a guy who I have a 4 bar KOF connection with and Also the same in SF IV. When we play those games it seem pretty lag free. When we where playing SF X Tekken it was just horrid. The sound even starting glitching out. Streamlined net code my ass.

Honestly it looks like the netcode / online aspects of the game weren’t finished yet.

Guess they spent all that development time finishing up the DLC they’re gonna charge us for in 6 months!

I don’t understand why the concept is hard for people to understand that the company budgeted a certain amount towards the non-DLC content and then budgeted a certain amount towards the production of DLC even if it’s created at the same time, the company still spent the extra money and expected to make profit off that extra labor in DLC revenue.

Ultimately Capcom is the one who decides what you get for what price.

Besides the glitchy ass sound, online was sorta okay for me. I didn’t run into anything major

Got the game at midnight and played until 7 AM (work sucks today…), so far:

  1. Plinking actually seems to lower my % rate in links. Seems much easier to land the links without plinking o_O Anyone else?

  2. Online is absolutely awful. Hopefully, there will be a patch or something, but currently, SF4 code is miles beyond.

I can’t pick characters!! Ibuki is really toned down, so I am trying out Nina/Lili right now.

I was gonna do a shout out post for Final Round, but people who were there should already know as I told them in person already. Contrary to the negatives things I said about my Final Round experience, I still had a fun time there with my TN brothas and lots of good shits came about.

Today was suppose to be a great day since I didn’t have to go to work but, my 360 pisses me off so much. I’m 99% sure I need to get the lens clean cause this damn thing won’t read my ME3 disc or SCV. I was gonna get SFxT but this BS had to come up today. But it will read my KOF, Marvel, Batman AA, and other games I have. I’m on spring break and I’m not sure what’s the best option for me to do atm to play these games. Should I send it to Microsoft, get a new 360, borrow someone’s 360, clean the lens myself, etc?

I would say probably get a new one. If yours is out of warranty just trade it in and buy a new one. The price to repair them I believe is not worth sending it and the hassle. I had one stuck in limbo for a month and i regretted sending the console to them. I would have bought a new one.

But when it is developed concurrently it inevitably takes away from the work on original, on-disc game. It’s not like they’re just hiring a bunch of extra people to only work on these 12 characters and do nothing else. Who knows, maybe the reason the online is apparently worse than the game that uses a very similar engine that came out 3 years ago is because they spent that extra time/effort that it would take to improve it working on these “DLC” characters/costumes that aren’t actually DLC at all. That’s why they should make the game and THEN start working on whatever extra stuff you want to add.

Tim, you know how you just commented that the online seems “unfinished”?

I guess know we know why the netcode is bad… All those resources allocated to dlc .

Having 3 speed gems on Vega activate at the same time makes him unplayable. His jumps become hops he becomes harder to control. I am going to have to rethink my gem layout for Vega.
