Yeah, I did catch up finally. I haven’t hit up my regular spots yet today, but I did know he showed uo from ending of last chapter. Thanks for the heads-up though.
Who said soundtrack was bad? It’s a little dubstep heavy but overall there is a great variety of music and the way they implement the OST and custom soundtracks is brilliant. Music dynamically changes based on how good or bad you shred. Epic. That jam by The Naked and Famous - “Young Blood” is my SHIT.
LOL!!! still hating on sfxt huh? IT’S A PARTY GAME PPL JUST PLAY AND HAVE FUN! Stop bitching so much good God!
The game is not sf4 nor is it kang or even marvel but it’s still fun to just mess around and have a good time. if you don’t like it fine don’t play it but all this bitching is getting annoying real quick.
@squabb i’ll gladly take the game if it’s free lol i could always use another ds game to play while i shit.
on another note it looks like i have a venue for the tournament and everything will be finalized friday so i will post all info real soon. i need to get with everyone tonight and get counts on set ups cause that is really important right now.
and instead of ppl complaining about sfxt and all this other games this is what everyone should be playing competitively anyways…just sayin
I don’t know how to do them spoiler tags so sue me but i found a pic of doug and abe practicing their victory dance after doug beats gdbell in sfxt lmao!
Add crappy music to the official list of complaints against SFxT. Also, there should be an official list of complaints about SFxT. Put it in the first post so we can all be up to speed.
Is there a way to skip the “prep” that my character does? Like Zoe will box a bit, Alex’ll do a model walk. I just wanna fly down that mountain, man. I tried pressing start but maybe I didn’t hold my mouth right or something.
Akuma isn’t bad in SFxT. He’s got good damage, a super he can combo into, can be played on point or sideline, and decent has mix up.
The only thing he’s truly lacking is his vortex but that isn’t enough to make him crappy.
I don’t know why people can’t come into this game with a completely open mind.
I wish u guys would actually give this game a legitimate try instead of bashing it because its not what ur accustomed to.
And just to clear it up. A legitimate try isn’t picking up your old main in SF4 seeing that he’s not the same and putting it down.
I was on the fence about it initially. I didn’t pre order until the last possible day, but its a blast to play period.
Its going to even more hype with actual 2 on 2 match ups. Its the first true team fighting game that I’ve played.
Also Gief is Very Very High tier in this game. Actually all of the grapplers are very strong in this game.
I’m going to try give at least 12 characters that aren’t SF based a shot. And at lest 10 from SF.
Mike have you considered therapy for this deep seeded anger toward a GAME??? Seriously though it is just a game. Who cares who wants to play it (but you know I love ya).
Gief doesn’t seem so great to me, if only because his damage output is really bad. Any good BnB from any other character can out do his throws and leave them in better positioning. Unless there’s something I’m missing…
I am definitely giving this game plenty of a shot. Playing two characters I don’t even like much as characters and never would have even thought I would play.
U can’t jump at him period and as good as jump ins are in this game it’s a big plus. His footsies are alot better mainly due to his god like lp it being cancelable into other normals especially sweep. His damage is fine. He’s just a very safe character. The main weakness he has is being out zoned but that is the weakness of all grapplers.
So Gamefly just sent this game off today, so I’ll have it in a few days. Just renting it to try the grapplers.
I don’t know why everyone says the grapplers are awesome though. I mean, I honestly thought Hugo’s and Gief’s command grabs should do a little more damage. They’re only truly crazy when power gems are activated, and you can’t even use those in tournaments.
Damage wasn’t the main issue I saw though. It looks like they have a hard time getting in on characters with projectiles. In that one video on Eventhubs of Jason’s Gief fighting Ryu, the matchup looked pretty rough for the Russian. Hugo is larger and slower.
And lastly, the huge characters have to worry about getting infinite’d in the corner right now. lol
As for Hugo, his damage output comes from his combos more than from individual grabs. The fact that he is a grappler with a near instant anti-air snatch just makes him scarier. Oh and both Gief and Hugo have good super armored moves.
Well the idea is that the throws ate now part of your knock down mixup that you can get off of a damn jab. Its so sick. Right now playing Hugo/king cause pat broke my Paul heart last night but I may just do Hugo gief.
Yeah. Haven’t been playing ST that much. Been playing some of the newer games that I’ve forgotten how good tick grabs are in ST. I noticed that I was abusing the god hand (j. LP) too much in our matches, especially when you had charge. Didn’t notice til later that cr. LK stuffs some of Claw’s pokes and his slide. Next time your there I definitely wanna get more matches in.
I will be playing ST more often in preparation for MWC.
It’s impossible to hate that game. Anyone who says they dislike it is just lying to themselves. Specials are mandatory in VS mode otherwise Max will just rape you.
