HEY!
ARE YOU A DREAMER?!
…
YES!
The MTN tournament on March 31st will have summadat KOF. I’ll renovate my OP on Distloop and repost/link it here and set up a calendar date when I get home. Been busy with work since I got back.
Brother Terrence is always anchor. Everybody say blacks to the back.
I fux wit it, and I love the campy, blaxploitation style of the video. I just wish I knew what the hell they were saying because the music and melodies are cool as hell.
Mike, we ever figure out who left the meat in the cooking pot tho?
I see lots of people hatin’ on SFxT. Now, coming from a tekken player, i really like this game. it does a good job of bridging the gap between 2d and 3d fighters. At first I thought it was Street Fighter with higher damage, but now I see it as it’s own game. It’s unique. My thoughts on SF are that it took too long to deal damage. You would have to really work hard just to do like 20% damage at a time. In SFxT you can work equally as hard but get closer to 45%.
And the gem system doesn’t seem to be overpowered so I’m not sure why people are against it.
The cross rush combo is too good though. that is my only concern at this time. Every char has the best move in the game. It’s like every char having a hopkick in tekken.
Yeah, idk what language it’s in… but it sounds nice
That’s why I never got into Tekken much…the damage is silly. You basically lose life very quickly and if you guess wrong on a wakeup, you can lose 70-80%…I never thought the back-forth should be limited to 1-2 mistakes as Street Fighter has always limited it to 3-5 mistakes that you can make…even the better Tekken players end up losing to some derpy random shit from time to time because of how the game is built. Very hard game to learn at highest levels but the damage has always made it a very scary game to pick up.
Yes we are not having KOF at the next tournament because milln is running it at the end of month with SCV.
“Maybe” he can run an UMVC3 tourney also HINT HINT
But that is the only reason I am not doing it, I just don’t want to oversaturate the scene. This is one of our smaller tournaments anyway. The “big” tournament is at the end of April when we have the TN dolls in town and I am sure we are going to have a pretty large turnout…milln, hit me up so we can schedule times because we have to combine the end of April tourneys somehow
End of April - UMVC3, KOF< SFXT, AE, and SCV
Tekken damage vs SF damage:
I figured that was why the standard was 3/5 rounds for Tekken and 2/3 for SF. The only “X” factor is SF’s stun. Play a little footsies, get a good hit confirm into max damgage/stun and get that dizzy. Or, get one more good read/mixup then get the dizzy. Then, get max possible damage.
YO I WANT A TEAM PARTNER!!
That’s one of the things I don’t like about Marvel… one mistake (which are extremely easy to make in a game practically based off of 50/50s) and you lose one character, and the opponent get a free mix-up on your next guy.
It’s also the primary reason I hate Blazblue now. It’s like you make one mistake on the opponents blockstring where they can do a 50/50 during a BLOCKSTRING then KEEP comboing you after they land a random overhead/low/throw and then you watch an hour and a half combo video that carries you to the corner. Stupid shit.
I’ve just tired of games that require you to learn muscle memory combos to do your damage, rather than simple easy to remember combos or loops like KoF. So I hope SFxT isn’t like that with bigger damage combos.
Why don’t we all just play Breakers Revenge instead.
Neoblood, 3/5 is standard on all 3D Fighters…SCV, VF, and Tekken…“rounds” shouldn’t have anything to do with why the damage is so high…
MARSHALL LAW AND CRISPY LINKS!! Omg I’m gonna be dabes.
I have Breaker’s Revenge, lol…
I mean, to be honest the reason I don’t play certain games is because the skill/damage set = whatever. I mean I respect them as games and all, but just sounds illogical and not for me…old Street Fighter you didn’t really rely on combos much but even when you did hit them, it wasn’t an extended combo video like Blazblue or Marvel…
Wow we gotta comic on the forum…
