Just watched that too. Perfect Legend did so well because he just doesn’t give a fuck, and people didn’t expect him. Toward the end people were definitely adjusting. He’s got that randomness that is what makes so many of the ‘new school’ top players thrive. His instincts are very good and he was on point, but on a technical level is footsies, spacing, reactions, execution, etc… is all below many other top Akuma players, but the way he was just going in, random DPs, unpredictable demons… all that without giving even a sliver of a fuck was what was destroying players like PR Rog and Justin who are way to used to being shown way to much respect. Its the same reason 801 Strider went from absolutely nobody knowing him, to OCVing top teams and giving Ricky O. a run for his money in the grand finals of a major.

Random question: How the hell is anyone beating Shao Kahn? This fight is silly
projectile spam at distance, jump over uppercut but time it right. Thats basic. most characters have abilities they can cheese to get the advantage though (example: Smoke Bomb, Buzzsaw) but its all timing. Just keep trying.
if you’re talking about story mode, with liu kang just stand on the other side of the screen and spam low fireballs and neutral jump if he throws the hammer. with raiden, just knock him down once, teleport just after he gets up, sweep, repeat.

I’m on the fence about Jax. I don’t know the game well enough to make a judgment on if he’s good or not. I am excited to see what Bishop does with him on the 7th. Bandit Bringer is too ill. Also that corner shit with Noob was sick.

Yeah, I was laughing so hard when he hit Justin with 3 straight HP SRK’s IN A ROW… That shit was hilarious… But you’re right, he played like he just didn’t care. A lot of that pressure he was putting on, people could get out, but it seemed that they were all too scared to press anything.

I beat Shao Khan both times in story mode with only one button. Two if you count block. With Liu Kang, stay full screen, ducking spears and jumping over hammers, then flying kick (F,F+2) when he taunts.
With Raiden, just teleport and uppercut from behind if he so much as twitches. Hammer throw puts him too far away, so superman his ass (or xray).
Shao Khan IS a cheap boss, but he isn’t the cheapest I’ve ever seen. That award still goes to Parace in AH3. Shit is ridiculous.
Anybody tried using Mileena? I think She got some good mixups into overhead , combo etc. ,but the damage doesnt seem much unless you use EX moves>
