Yeah, some people aren’t willing to bring even a copy of a game to a tournament; others you have to tell to not bring so much equipment (for lack of need).
That’s cool, I don’t really care if anybody does mods in my area lol. I’m thinking about just doing Kitty mods on 360 sticks from now on since I don’t really have the time to do mods (that aren’t personal projects) anymore. I didn’t mind when I was unemployed or working part time. However, I’ve only had 3 people interested in dual mods this year; only one has followed through - and that’s with gratis labor.
Yeah man, it’s going to be hard to take that title from Jason for sure.

Edit: Also, GGs to Big Jake. It’s weird, I can count the games I won in the 2.5-3 hrs of combined MK and AE on one hand, yet I still for some reason have a positive attitude about the set. My only wins were in AE…maybe it’s because I feel like I’m peeling some layers of the Yun matchup away. He’s still an asshole and by no means am I’m saying the match is more even, but I don’t feel COMPLETELY helpless now. We’ll see if it keeps up next time we play…
Now, about that Raiden…if I pick him up does it instantly make me an asshole? Anyone? Mike?

I was an asshole before/after picking up Raiden so it has had no affect on me.
I’m guessing that Raiden/Kung Lao will take up 6 or 7 of the top ten spots.

I am pretty certain it will be mostly Kung Lao…Raiden not everyone is into because of the lack of flash, but it’s like Nakoruru in CVS1 all over again…
115 people at MWC 2000 for CVS1 arcade tournament…7 of the top 10 were teams with Nakoruru. Only mine, Jason Nelson, and Viscant were non Nakoruru users…(and I used a team of Benimaru, King, Blanka, and Dhalsim)

@MemphisPlayers: Due to MULTIPLE requests, and seeing as how the SSFIV Ranbat #1 that occurred 2 weeks ago ran way over the time allotted at Hastings, we are going to run the MVC3 Ranbat #2 starting at 7:30PM. PLEASE be sure to be at Hastings and signed up by 7:15PM.
If you are going to be late feel free to get in touch with me or someone that you KNOW will be there. I will put you in the bracket and hold your match until either you arrive or until the tournament requires your match to continue, in which case you will forfeit that match and moved to the loser’s bracket.
This will be a permanent change to all the Ranbats (MVC3 and SSFIV) for the rest of the season. If you have questions or complaints, well, the only thing I can say is we need to move it up to ensure it gets completed in time. So yeah…

I think the only character I “might” be able to go even with Cody’s Kung Lao is Smoke…I definitely can’t beat him more with anyone else…same with Jacob…Smoke and that’s about it…
I’m still trying to work on mastering Shang Tsung but I haven’t really used him on anyone except for Rob, but Shang is getting better. I used to only win 7 out of 10 with Shang now I’ve beaten him the last 25 with Shang so I know the setups I have and spacing are working correctly…we’ll see if that works…
