I think that anyone who picks up Raiden or Kung Lao after this weekend, and especially if you never even wanted to play the game before, is a total lame. First, I was really hype for the fact that I found out Toyota has chosen virtual idol Hatsune Miku to be the US “spokeswoman” for their new car. This includes TV commercials, ad campaigns, etc etc. As an avid Miku-holic for years, this makes me really happy to see that she’s getting a big push in the US.
Then I found out the first Miku single to be released in the US came out yesterday, and I had exactly enough Amazon MP3 credit to purchase it.
Then I saw the kick-ass trailer for Tekken: Blood Vengance. I’m personally thrilled that Alisa is in it.

I really need to start playing Tekken seriously. I mean, I’ve probably played it longer than most people in Memphis, yet I’m completely terrible at it because I just never really took it seriously, aside from often spending my entire lunch break every day playing TTT or T4 in the arcade at the mall where I worked.
edit: Soul Calibur 5 just got announced, and while I can hear Krit squealing all the way over here, I find it hilarious that the crowd didn’t seem to give a shit.
You def should man. But I won’t sugarcoat it for you. Some people moved/left/living life/etc. Local community used to be stacked with guys. And it just faded. The scene in general has died down quite a bit, and no one even plays it here anymore. Not that we don’t want to, but unless certain ones of us are together at once, it just won’t get played. Simple as that.
I’d still want you or whoever else to get into it. Plus you’re around Sev alot and even though he doesn’t play it much for obvious reasons, he did take the time to actually learn the game and will give you good sets.
But I expect it to boom again once Tag 2 is close to dropping. Like when T6 console finally released. Hours of sessions every single day. Blood-shot eyes and sore fingers. So you can get ready for that.

Hey guys, again, Powerplay is having their own MK tourney this Saturday and I’m hoping the fight night crew can show up. I know FlyMike and Bishop are likely going to be in attendance, I will be there as well. I know some of you guys cannot make it, but hopefully we get a decent crowd out there.
