This happens in the NCAA Basketball tournament every year cause Team A thinks they are really good and that team B sucks even though team B got further in the tournament. Results are results gentlemen.
If you lose, you lose. Sound like a bunch of egos got busted cause Duckie wasn’t considered one of the top 5 in the area and then got top 3 in the whole tournament so people got pissed.
Regardless of bracket, it’s not cheating even if he did manipulate brackets. Cheating would be him doing some extra modding to a stick or pad so the “H” button malfunctions are random or shit like that. On the stream I watched, some people did well and others probably played below what they normally would. It happens.
Be proud of Duckie for getting that far. Besides, if you are good enough to win, you are good enough to win. That’s it.

If you think I cheated and did anything unfair at the tournament – go cluck yourself. I don’t give a hoot if people think I cheated. They’re just crying fowl because they think I’m too chicken-shit to do that well at a tournament. I think it’s funny how I’m being preyed upon like this. I tried to explain, but it’s like I’m speaking in Pigeon or something. All I get when I ask for one is the same stuff parroted back at me. I didn’t ask for this kind of tweetment. Seriously, no yokes about it… I get so hen-pecked sometimes that I couldn’t even try to do something like that out of paranoia that I’d end up with egg on my face. Lord Jas: I read your blog and to answer why you went 6-2 and got 4th and Duckie went 4-2 and got 3rd, this is the explanation.
If it’s a 32 man bracket, and Duckie wins 4 straight, he goes to 16, 8, 4, 2. Meaning he is in Winners Finals. If he loses 2 straight there, he is guaranteed no WORSE than 3rd.
Let’s say you LOST first round or LOST second ROUND. You would need to win DOUBLE your matches to get to nearly the same position.
If you lost on 32 man bracket, then “won” you got from tied for 25th, to tied for 17th. Win Again, tied for 13th, Win Again, tied for 9th, win again, tied for 7th, win again, tied for 5th, win again, 4th place. Lose and you are out. That’s 6-2, that’s precisely how you can place lower with winning more games.
You guys should seriously consider not discussing this on a public internet forum if you are concerned about that ;).
Phone calls, private messages, or , dare I say it, face to face conversation would be best if you don’t want “outsiders” commenting. That’s not me being a dick, it just is what it is. No one would even know about it was kept in house.

Johnny aka nice guy posting: Before my first match in Marvel, I did look at the bracket. If I won my first match, I would have to fight Dax, not Duckie in my 2nd match. I ended up winning my first match. After reading Jas post, what I saw in the brackets was wrong.
Locke aka bad guy posting: The following posts here are just theories. Why would Duckie want to fight me in the 2nd round if he rigged the bracket? Simple, it’s b/c I’m a 360 pad player. Thc ps3 pad sux so I was force to play on a ps3 stick since I could play on it better than a ps3 pad. So I was clearly fighting handicapped at 50% of my full potential in Marvel against lv3 xf DP. If you don’t believe me, go watch the stream of me and duckie playing and see how bad I was playing.
Next person Duckie fought was Dax. Why would Duckie fight Dax? Dax was playing real bad and random in Marvel all day. To top it off, Dax had to play Duckie on the stream monitor that had no sound and Dax complain about him dropping combos cuz he needed sound. Duckie was commentating his stream match with Josh so Duckie probably overheard this and took advantage of it. Also, Duckie did modded Dax stick before they fought. Conspiracy?
Next person Duckie fought was Cedrick aka TO. These 2 probably rigged their match to look like a close fight but Cedrick probably threw the match and gave it to Duckie. By then, Duckie was far enough in the bracket to be in top 3 even if he lost his other matches.
As said before, Memphis still loves Duckie (yes homo) whether he cheated or not. In theory all this accusation on Duckie is my fault cuz all I had to do was beat him and none of this nonsense would had have to happen. Sorry for causing you so much problems Duckie.

I agree 100% with you on that but here’s the catch. I won my first 4 matches but yet somehow it didn’t count? i was like wtf? i lost my fifth match to mike weng and then i beat hiryu,dax,cedric and then lost to Mike again. So technically i played 9 games and lost 2 of them but one of those matches apparently never happened so it was 6-2 instead and still somehow because of bracket rearrangement i only played Mike in winners and avoided playing both duckie and issac who both were moved around and met in winners finals after 4 matches each. and the funny thing is Mike had only played 2 of his matches before he faced me after i had played 4 games. Explain that please because to me it still makes no sense.
I don’t even live in Memphis now and I don’t have beef with you. I’m making money. I don’t think about you.
