Well, MK is made by an American company and it’s always super rushed…the “frame data” on the game changed not only because of the blocking thing LIJoe discussed but when the patches were made variables could be “tweaked” for each character to make it very easy for them to manipulate the data. I don’t think there is an issue with them doing the patches, but they probably should have had 1-2 of them only with characters similar to how SF and BLazblue did their upgrades so people KNOW what the heck is happening…again, keep in mind the team that handles the actual GAMEPLAY on the game is extremely small. You have less than 5 people handing all the balance and gameplay and input on the moves in the game with a small window…if it was Japanese madness, I can understand but for what it is the game came out fine, just too many patches and I will will still never get it out of my head seeing 60-70% combos in the corner with Kung Lao a month before the game shipped and the guys laughing about it lol…
I like the game, even if it is like Tekken and all these patches but no one plays it anymore… =/
Well he told me the other day that he did. Now I am confused.LOL!
Okay I just went and asked him and he said yes he wants to play it. Jeremy, I told him that you wanted to come and play and he said okay. Yeah just let one of us know. I haven’t been online much with Stephanie being back and forth to the hospital over the past few days but you have Josh’s number don’t you? Or you can IM him.
Yeah deff gonna be a week or two behind in KoF. Just looked up at my calendar and I have a project due on Friday then the last two weeks will be figuring out my study schedule for finals. Leave TN on the 17th and then I’ll be back in town on about the 12th of January.
I’ll be sure to pack my system up to bring home on break though.
In other, more relevant news, can I have the address to the new fight night spot? I WILL be there so things should be hype no doubt. If anyone wants challenge matches or the aforementioned STFU matches by Shawn McCool, I’m game!
Something about being sick makes me play Dark Souls better I think. I went from having trouble killing the Capra demon and shelving the game weeks ago to now having trouble killing Ornstein and Smough in Anor Londo. Anyone have a specific strategy that works? I summon in Solaire, but he keeps getting whacked right before phase 2.
Also, Frampt’s teeth creep me out, the catacombs was surprisingly easy (I’m playing a faith character and apparently Divine weapons rape lol), and Big Hat Logan is a bitch for making me save him and him telling me he can’t teach me anything. Fuck you and your big hat Logan bitch.
Solaire rarely dies in my game, so I dunno what to tell you. Just make sure to go in with you and him at full health. Smough is weak to lightning ( I suggest lightning uchigatana or spear ) and Ornstein is weak to fire ( I use Quelaag’s Furysword. ) My advice, equip the grass crest shield and two hand the lightning spear and just wail on Smough first. He should die fast, and then when Ornstein is big use a fire weapon ( I also two hand ) and just stay under his legs. Any time he attacks roll forward, unless he jumps straight up in which case just roll away as fast as possible. Make sure you are light enough to do an actual roll, not fall onto the ground like an asshole. Killing Ornstein second is harder, but later in Firelink Domhnall will sell Ornsteins armor since you killed him last, and it is very good and very cool. I would suggest you be over level 50, and have some upgraded equipment.
Summoning someone else with Solaire as well will help alot, though they tend to try kill Smough second because it is easier. Logan doesn’t sell you his stuff because you don’t have high enough intelligence. Just wait for Duke’s Archives and buy stuff from his apprentice til then.
I’m currently SL 68, using Divine Halberd +5, Divine Eagle Shield +5, and the Silver Knight armor set. It’s like, I feel I should be ready for this, but I just get trounced. I guess I’ll invest some time in getting all that stuff you are talking about.
You have a massive faith stat? Also make sure if you have Solaire out that you let him get a bit of agro then go balls out for a good bit. Honestly if your damage is the problem what is your faith stat? That may be a problem.
Sounds like you’re doing okay just try out some different weapons. I don’t see halberd being great in that fight. Also, Divine Zweihander is probably the best faith build weapon so give it a shot later on as well.
I’ve only been dumping points in to Vit, End, and Faith. Those 3 are around 28 or so, not sure on the exact number. I was following a build I read on the DS wiki that was supposed to be really powerful for PvE, and it’s been very good for me so far. I hadn’t died to a monster from the time I started the character till around Sen’s Fortress. This is the first really frustrating time I’ve had so far.
