He did All That and Kenan and Kel, I know that much. Not sure how a 14 year old anime fighting game character ties in with him though
Ya that’s basically the build on my new character. And yes like Arson said, go Zweihander if you’re going faith, it is so damn good and so strong.
Also anyone have any idea how good Hwa is? He looks like a badass
I’m sorry if I mention a few things that are obvious to people, I’m not around to see where the scene is. CD is considered to be another normal, like just hitting D or C. The reason I bring it up is that jump CD attacks add extra BLOCK stun and it can be a good way to get in. Iori’s jump (down + CD) will actually cross up in a lot of situations.
As far as BnB. I used c.BA, qcb+a. or hop.C -> cl.C -> qcb+C -> super cancel (i think these are right). When you go for the command grab you can do some pretty sick resets and run unders though. After command grab you can do DP+P, super cancel. or just go straight for the super. His EX hcb+k goes through fireballs.
Keep in mind that while I have access to some very strong players here. I myself am not one of them. I’m mostly regurgitating things that they’re telling me. I’ve been going through a really painful adjustment process to KoF over the past month or two (2k2 mostly) and am starting to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve had to be trained not to reversal, not to hit buttons at all, not to mindlessly hop in, to counter hops with close c, to anti air with dash close c, not to do most specials up close because they’re negative and in kof you CAN be punished, not to offensive roll etc etc etc. Basically, most if not all of my instincts were wrong and I’ve been rewiring my brain. I just really love the game and would be disappointed if my pitiful existence ends while I still suck at KoF.
Thanks for the Dark Souls help guys, I’ll give it another shot tomm.
I’ll be on KOF tomm, I think I’m almost over being sick. I’ll be down to play anytime during the day, just hit me up
Also, quick question, in DS if I make a Divine Zweihander, should I be wielding it 2 handed, or should I wait until I can dump enough into STR to use it one handed or what, idk how it works I’ve never used a 2hander.
About over a flu, can’t wait till this crap is done, then I can get back to doing what I do best: Trolling the internet, playing video games, and fightin’ round the world.
I’ve been playing more with Duo Lon lately. Not because of dhalsim thing or anything. Just because now that I’ve gotten my feet proper wet I can try characters better. I think I may be dropping Leona for Duo Lon. At least for a bit as a test. This puts my team at Kyo, Saiki, Duo Lon. We’ll see what happens.
Check his more recent resume.
We’ll call her iKula.
1st para - great info. I had no idea.
2nd para - I think this is the problem I’m having right now. Especially in regards to reversals and mindless hops. Well…pretty much everything you mentioned really. You’ve been adjusting to KoF for much longer than I have. So really, I just need more time and play against different people, which peeps (Dream, Mike) have already suggested. I am just not a patient person and get easily frustrated when I’m getting 17 streaked by Pat’s Ralf and my character dies on one punish from dude. That’s why I stopped playing marvel, lol.
Frustration is an ongoing mental struggle for me. But I’ll get my mind right. I must. I enjoy this game too much.
Golden Era? The only thing golden about that era is it introduced us to the little girl who would become the insane hotness known as Amanda Bynes. The true Golden Era involved shows like You Can’t Do That on Television and Double Dare, and peaked around the Rocko/Ren & Stimpy/Rugrats Nicktoons era. Salute Your Shorts was an anomaly, but Hey Dude marked the beginning of the end.
I am glad to see I am not the only person who has to deal with this issue.
As for Dark Souls … lol … I got so pissed off at that fucking game when I was in Blighttown cruising along (Bishop this was after the episode when you were there) - never been hit (maybe by one poison arrow) and I fall off the ledge into the swamp and die while trying to hit one of those flies again … okay, so be it, my fault - 22k souls in the swamp … go all the way back through it to the same spot, glitch through the god damn floor (because you know, there’s no glitches what so ever in this game) and fall all the way to the swamp and die on impact - bye bye 22k …
That has happened to me like 6 times while playing this fucking game (falling through the floors of the maps). I haven’t played it since, but I’m sure I’ll return here soon … it’s just so fucking retarded to do everything right - and be so careful - only for the game to glitch and kill you.
LMAO - gah, I haven’t seen that name in a minute.
Wait, you can push a direction and multiple buttons for different jump in attacks? I feel so far behind, it’s not even funny anymore.
The garbage age of Nickelodeon.
Also, still can’t figure out what you’re saying man, you saying that 14 year old Kula is hot, or that the iCarly chick was hot then or what.
Catdog. That was the end. Catdog.
Dogg you are not about to tell me All That and Kenan & Kel were not golden era. Everything else is on point.
Lol this shit has jumped the shark. I’m saying Kula is a trap, lol. Like the hoes on iCarly and Victorious. Dan Schneider is either a pedo or marketing genius. Maybe a little of columns A and B.
Legends of the Hidden Temple & Nick Arcade.
That is all.
Wow I’ve never been glitched like that. Also fuck stopping to fight the flies I just run down there without fighting. You’ll miss out on maybe 2000 souls
Reminder, Fight night at T&G starts at 7pm-midnight. $5 a head, BYOB, I’ll be there about 8:00 or so.
Now to get caught up on this thread. Haven’t touched a FG since the last Hastings fight night. Work sucks, bleh.
Nick Arcade was awesome. The winners are IN A VIDEO GAME at the end! That thing was rigged… they expected you to jump like Mario irl.
I thought it started at 6?
Also invader zim was the shit…jus sayin
That show was too random for me to love. I love Vasquez for his work on Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee, but like, he smoked EXTRA crack when making Zim. It’s the one show though I can look at my wife and say “Babe, that show sucked dick” and I’m sleeping on the couch. Go figure.
I just tossed soul arrows at them from a distance. Down in the swamp part, I just run around and killed the Derpspiders (you’ll find out quickly I name enemies my own special way) and those king kong fuckers that throw rocks. I’m headed down to the bottom to knock down those dumb leeches so I can get my Zweihander up to Divine +5 so I can wreck shit.
tl;dr: Fuck the mosquitos, and only you fall through levels Squabb
Lame. I was hoping Pat would be bad at something. Jerk. A good Ash player can do that same thing, just kill you with a single jump in or catching you trying to jump at him. If you can carry them to the corner and not drop your shit, they die. Punishes are kind of hard in KOF. Running up to do things is still very awkward for me. Elisabeth and Ash are really frustrating right now for me. Duo Lon seems pretty straightforward and easier for me to use, and he’s good. Elisabeth has an annoying command throw which I have no idea how to use, and uses Juri style counters that you have to be able to combo out of with a very small window. She seems fairly good, though and Ash seems great but he’s just not super strong without big combos like ones I ain’t got.
Characters have command normals. Some have air command normals. Normals can often be cancelled into command normals as part of the standard KoF engine. Example… Iori’s cl.C cancels into df.C. Normal cancelled into command normal. When a normal is cancelled into a command normal it tends to lose all of its attributes (such as knockdown, however they often keep the ‘low attack’ attribute). When you cancel a normal into a command normal that command normal gains a new attribute. The attribute is “can be cancelled into a special.” So, even if Iori’s df.C couldn’t have been special cancelled before. It can once you cancel to it from a normal.
This is PURELY an example and not actually factual. But, imagine the combo:
df.C -> qcb+P // this combo doesn’t work because df.C can’t be special cancelled
cl.C -> df.C -> qcb+P // this combo does work because a normal was cancelled into the df.C causing the df.C to lose its properties but gain the ability to be special cancelled.
Air normals sometimes work the same. Saiki’s jumping A can be cancelled into f.B for a 2 hit air combo which can hit early enough to make the opponent think that you’re going to land too late to continue the combo (so they go for a grab) but your f.B hits and creates enough hitstun for you to land safely.
