All this “SRK has lost it’s personality” bitching is pretty stupid imo. Like seriously come on… if you think SRK’s forum didn’t look like every other forum in the internet then you’re wrong. I can name you a few sites that had the same layout (one is a porn site too).

rep was retarded, i’m glad to see it go. The contribution thing is interesting, is there a visual indicator of how much of a contributor people have been? If you get some stuff onto the front page do you get shiny icons to show for it?
The new look is ghastly, i already said on the front page blog comments bit but no one reads that part. The 09 sfiv theme was indded a significant step towards looking very slick and professional, black schemes are for teenagers on myspace, not commercialised sites like srk aims to be, with sponsors and all that stuff.

No join dates shown. I see the idea behind this, but frankly I think this is a step in the wrong direction. Personally, when a 00 or 01 member says something about fighting games, I LISTEN. Maybe more than if that same advice came from a new member. Yes I know that has its flaws, but I enjoyed knowing if the advice I’m reading is coming from someone playing these games for 10 years or 10 months.

General layout: The controls and new “user cp” area will take a lot of getting used to, but right now I don’t see any real problem.
Bugs to report:
B1) Login credentials are ignored on the main SRK page. It makes it look as if you are not logged in, but you ARE logged in, it just only shows you that on the FORUMS domain, not the main page. Fix this please.
B2) After a quick post, you are still in EDIT mode and this leads to massive double posting.
Overall: White text on black HAS TO GO, other changes are meh.
I am honestly not sure if I will renew premium. If the current problems are addressed I will renew, but if the forum stays like it currently is I may not.

This black skin is horrific. This is killing my eyes to the point where I can’t read a post that’s longer than a paragraph. Please give us options to change it.
Though I agree with whoever said that the black skin is unprofessional and cheesy. Blue is much better.
Plus, the site is damn near unreadable on a cell phone.

Don’t care about join dates in GD, but I do care in the strats sections. I am going to give more credibility to someone who’s been around longer. They should at least be viewable there, or maybe a post counter (even if it doesn’t track your actual number, maybe just your seniority on the site.)
Haven’t noticed any adds in posts yet though. Gotta go, eyes hurting.
love the new look to the forum, i used to have blue steel setup, but white text on a black background is really easy to read 
the rep system was always garbage, glad it’s gone (and i was in the green anyways). if people cause unnecessary trouble and piss off the admin (rather than random people who’ve bought premium) then they’ll get an infraction, so no worries there.
couple of things though:

when you click on someone’s username, the drop down box with view profile etc is transparent and would be better if it was opaque.

gap between the end of someone’s post and their sig is kinda big

sigs could be trimmed down, seem to occupy more space now with the default font-size

posting replies defaults to quick reply, but it would be cool if you had option for quick reply and normal reply

actually just the front page will not remember the login, but if you click forum tab, it will show you logged in.
The forum formatting looks horrible on my monitor. Seems to be a lot of spacing issues. And the 2000 era white on black needs to go 
…So i just want to know what other benefits will us Premo users recieve? I just want an incentive to renew aswell, and currently i can due with a smaller avatar. Perhaps Siggy banners? Or would that look too tacky after awhile.
Maybe rep can return if you have a governing body decide whether or not the + or - rep was justified. So basically rep will be pending approval, which would hopefully end the abuse. Alot of my rep was earned the old fashioned way and i just don’t like seeing it gone. It’s almost like i’ve done nothing here.
-1 for siggy banners. That shit ruins forums in my opinion. People put stupid ass shit in a sig banner, or have some stupid ass looking dimensions that ruin the flow of a page. I hate sig banners…

Things I like about the new forum layout:
~ The Avatars are now bigger.
~ The new profile page.
~ The “What’s New?”-button is kinda useful.
~ That blog feautre seems to be nice.
Things I dislike about it:
~ It looks really, really cheap.
~ It’s straining to read the posts(it hurts my eyes after a few minutes) because of the grey/white font on the black background.
~ The “overview page” where all the topics are listed has to way to big icons.
~ Lots of unused space.
I don’t like the new layout at all but I think I might get used to it if the staff will add a few nice features and fix some negative points.
