The new Smallville thread

I was tuning in and out of this episode but yeah, the Phantom Zone Poison Ivy got taken out way to fast.

But the fact that Clark is getting all his women snatched up from right under him cracked me up for the first ten minutes. I mean what sort of world is it when Superman loses available women to the Green Arrow and freaking Jimmy Olsen. lol

coffeerox: Actually Green Arrow has worn the hood before in the eightes, around the time he knocked up some asian chick I believe. I am surprise at how good it looks in live action.

Green Arrow is someone I completely not expected to show up. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t he completely OOC up to ep 2?

Ahhh. Silly me was actually hoping for Batman or Green Larntern for this season…

Seems to me Lex could’ve been Caesar or Marc Anthony, since they never specified Alexander the Great. Lana doesn’t necessarily have to be Cleopatra either.

Anyway, the more I see Green Arrow, the more I think about how much cooler Batman would be and how much more he should be there instead.

Also, co-sign on the lame instant-victory.

it was a random ass plant bitch, i thought it was funny how quickly he dispatched her. she was just like garbage that he had to take out. i must admit tho, i would have rather seen him punch her into space, that would have been great because not only would he be punching someone out of the earth’s atmosphere but he would have been punching a girl as well.

oh well.

almost forgot, did anyone else just say wtf to themselves when the show came back from commercials after we saw clark hemmed up by the plants? instead of coming back from commercial and picking up with clark all jacked up, we get to see lana and lex? fucking assholes i don’t give a fuck about those bitches, clark is basically dead and you’re showing me lex and lana? fuck sake.

Just read some spoilers on some of the upcoming episodes and guest stars:
Scroll down and highlight if you want to know:

WWE Smackdown superstar Batista will be playing another phantom zone villain in an upcoming Smallville episode. Also former DC characters (Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash) will be coming back in another episode and joining up with Clark and Green Arrow to form the Justice League.

^Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t that Impulse instead of the flash?

The TV spots and the WB advertisements referred to the character as the Flash.

Though in the DC comics, Bart Allen started off as Impulse… then Kid Flash… and now he is the current Flash.

I see, didn’t know he had grown to turn into the Flash. I just think it’s funny how they use Bart instead of Wally, the scene where supes goes through his IDs with the names of the other Flashes was golden.

Season 6 is pretty lame so far. I’m currently trying to figure out exactly when it was that the show jumped the shark.

Is Clark even the main character anymore?

The show started its huge jump over the shark with either the Lana = Super witch arc guest starring the guy from Supernatural it completed its jump arc when Clark and Lana hooked up.

In all it has never recovered, but is consistently good for a laugh at how much bullshit to spot.

well, lex’s full name is alexander, right? so thats why i think its alexander the great. it’d make more sense.

oh man, the funniest shit in this episode was when that dude was making out with gloria in lex’s green house and clark barges in and goes “get out!” and the dude goes “who are you?” clark replies with “I’M THE GARDENER!” then the dude runs off lol

all in all the 3rd episode kinda sucked. looking forward to episode 11, “justice”… flash coming back ftw. i still think this season is gonna be great if the writers don’t fuck around too much, it has so much potential. the show’s budget also got cut in half so they may be saving the grade a stuff for later.

i thought the episode was alright…not so much of the storyline…i liked how they showed more Lois Lane HOTNESS and the Vine CHick…lucious babes at their best.

and Oliver Queen (green arrow?) has a dope image if the ballroom dance was a preview of him. sounds interesting.

Ummmm…I think there may be something to this “Chlois” thing. I’m starting to believe that Chloe and Lois are 2 halves of the DCU “Lois”.

I think Lois in Smallville is too much of a bitch now(needs teh Krypton bitch slap)…and Chloe reminds me of the sincere Lois from other incarnations.

It’s like Smallville Lois represents everything I dislike about Lois…and Chloe represents everything I like about Lois.

Oh…and WTF happened to Lana on this show? She sucked too much Lex?

man… tonights episode was just awesome. jesus christ, smallville green arrow > justice league green arrow…never really cared much for green arrow at all but they made him look too good in this.

Queen. Oliver Queen.

Tonight’s episode is shaping up a bit better, but I would like the writers to be shocked with an electrical charge everytime they try to find a new way to cram Lana into a plot thread that she doesn’t fit into. Seriously… witchcraft? Corporate espionage? What in the fuck are they smoking?

And it was nice to see Clark actually get some real screentime in the second half, and having to sort out some ethical dilemmas at that. Oliver pontificating about helping people out in the world was a great moment–almost Maggin-esque–and I hope it has an effect on Clark’s philosiphy in coming episodes. But it seems like the kind of thing the writers would just as soon throw away and forget about.

Come on, Alfred and Miles. Don’t let me down.

Today’s episode was alright.

Out of the other DC hero guest stars, I’d rank it the following:

  1. Flash
  2. Green Arrow
  3. Cyborg
  4. Aquaman

flash needs to show up again

Anyone else thinking that we probably wouldn’t have seen GA if the writers could use Bruce Wayne?

I don’t know. Green Arrow has undergone a pretty big upsurge in popularity since his appearance on the JL cartoon. The writers may have chosen to include him in this season based on the strength of that popularity.

I agree that GA is just a stand-in for Bats. It’s pretty obvious considering the way he acts and rapples himself away with an arrow version of Bats’s hook shot thing.
