The new Smallville thread

Good motherfuckin’ ep.

Lawl, im guessing Chloe got raped? That was a Resident Evil’ish camera when she got dragged out the limo. That whole scene was great.

the Chloe kiss was great…ah, if only I could’ve traded places with Clark at that time. A kiss from The Chloe would be enough for me to bust.

The focus near the end there seems to be the notion of “you can’t save everyone…”. I’m thinking it’s fairly obvious we’ll lose someone…and unfortunately it looks like that will be my baby, The Chloe…well, either that or Lionel. Eh, they’re probably a bit scared of pissing off too many people for killing off the adorable one, so it’s most likely going to be Lionel that’s on the chopping block here.

Zod was one of the greatest things about the old Superman movie(part 2, if I recall). Even as a little kid back then…I aspired to be just like Zod when I grew up.

Honestly I didn’t like the finale nor did I like this season. Hopefully next season will be better.

I only saw one ep of season 5 and it was when Clark saw Lana and Lex kiss. Ugh. After 5 seasons the Clark/Lana thing is very old hat. So when season 5 gets released on DVD later this year, will it be worth picking up?

And Chole kissed Clark? What’s that about? Someone please fill me in!!

Agreed.

you missed clark trapped in the phantom zone floating in space.

and wow, how many times is clark gonna fuck up? i hope in season 6 he becomes more independent and trusts jor-el a little more and stops making dumbass decisions.

Reg— the Chloe kiss = Clark saved her from a car that went flying through the building…then Clark was going to leave…to go after Brainiac/Fine or Zod/Lex I guess…then Chloe said “…I might not get to see you again…”, and she went over and gave him a NICE, approx. 3.5 second kiss.

Once again…why the hell was Clark so hung up on Lana all those years…when the superior Chloe was down for him/loved the hell out of him no matter what? She’s always been willing to do anything for him…AND looks better with the better/thicker body. It’s such a lopsided comparison it actually makes me laugh how stupid Clark has been since season 1 on this issue.

Whoa whoa whoa…Zod is Lex?

^ zod is lex for now, zod needs a vessel first. and lex is the vessel, brainiac wanted to use clark but there was no way clark was letting that shit happen so brainiac changed his plans and “prepared” lex by capturing him with the black ship and giving him kryptonian powers and then clark, being the big dumb alien he is used the dagger that he got from the fortress to pierce brainiac instead of the vessel and by doing that zod inhabited lex’s body, if he had killed lex like jor-el told him to to all this shit wouldn’t have happened. in season 6 i want to see a less whimpier clark, he lets his emotions get in the way too damn much.

who would’ve thought that the “virus” would be a computer virus  makes sense though, without computers the world is screwed.

i wonder if we’ll get to see a real zod for season 6? i guess lex will magically forget he knows about clarks secret like he always does once zod is out of him. or maybe the writers will let lex know clarks secret since next season is the last i think.

I thought the finale was a lot of fun to watch but there was so much that just made no sense:

  • How far fetched was it that Jor El gave Clark a weapon to kill Lex, but also happens to open a portal to bring Zod into this reality? If Jor El gave him nothing then what would have happened? Nothing?

  • I assume that any and all stories related to the comics or movies has been completely scrapped if Lex is now the first incarnation of Zod. From the show’s perspective it’s pretty cool but I sat there going “Uh… what?”

  • Is Zod a telekinetic?

  • Did Fine fuck up Martha’s original flight plan or did Lionel? It seemed really far fetched that her flight was cancelled AND Lionel was there to save her (making me think Lionel did it on purpose) AND Fine was the pilot (which makes Lionel’s save really far fetched in the first place).

But whatever… it was enjoyable. I didn’t like it nearly as much as last year’s finale but this will keep my interest piqued until October or whenever it’ll start up again.

zod is kryptonian so it makes sense why lex has clarks power since he is the vessel for zod.

Thanks T-Kimura. Does that mean he’s going to meet up with those two kryptonians he trapped in there at the beginning of the season?

Oh, and Nagata, I think the current theory is that “Jor El” was Braniac all along and he knew that clark was going to attack Fine with the dagger. That’s why the Red stuff came out of the Crystal console from the fortress, into the dagger, then into Lex.

no…they made lex the vessel cause brainiac…is well…brainiac…he has been studying clark all season and knew he would never harm lex. But he’d defintly try and harm a super computer.

jor el…was never brainiac at all.

Here’s a theory:

Terence Stamp, the man responsible for the voice of Jor-El played General Zod in Superman II. Odd that they would pick that particular man to playJor-El, no? I mean we’ve had some old superman characters come back in different roles (Margot Kidder for example), but this one is rather odd. Jor-El was Zod all along.

I like this theory. It makes dunce cap Clark appear less of a dumbass.

Season 6 will probably have something absurd like Jor-Lion-El fly into space to retrieve Clark and they’ll have some kind of DBZ-esque training session on the way back to Earth.

Or, or, they can have Lobo flying around on his space motorcycle and pull a “Hey, who’s that scrawny nerd floating in space? Let’s free him and beat him up!”

=D

I find it highly unlikely that Jor El was Brainiac the whole time. Jor El was incorporated into The Fortress Of Solitude well before Brainiac discovered it. On top of that, Brainiac tried to destroy the fortress before Clark stopped him for the first time. I can buy into the idea that Clark was manipulated into trying to kill Brainiac (that is really far fetched though) but it still doesn’t make sense why the energy to release Zod was contained within the Fortress when Brainiac tried to destroy it on the first go around.

Crazy episode. Clark is probably the biggest idiot i have ever witnessed on TV. He can’t get his things STRAIGHT.

ZOD gonna DOMINATE…some random scrubs gonna dominate on Chloe (OHHH NOOOEEESSSS!!!)…world being owned…clark trapped!

My guess… (no proof just a guess)

Fine fucked up everything and Lionel had nothing at all to do with any of it.

I’m thinking Fine fucked the original flight, then appeared with a new plane claiming that Lionel sent it (when he really didn’t). Hell he could have even morphed into Lionel to make her think he was doing it.

I’m leaning toward Lionel not actually being a bad-guy anymore. Which would be weird, but kinda cool too.

That’s my theory.

oh, and I was thinking through out the whole episode, “Where the hell are all the rest of the DC heroes?” Something this massive doesn’t just happen without everybody being involved.

jor-el isn’t brainiac or zod at all. the reason why that red shit came out of the fortress imo and freed zod was just because jor-el is trying to show clark what consequences he’s bringing upon the world, he was supposed to kill lex with the dagger, no one else but he tried on brainiac and thought it would work, brainiac knows how clark works, like maxx said, fine has been studying clark for months and he’s…well… brainiac . yes, unleashing zod on the world is a little harsh but will clark ever take heed into what jor-el says if he doesn’t do something drastic? its just tough love basically.

and about lionel not being a bad guy anymore… he’s kind of a good bad guy i guess now lol for season 6 i think hes gonna have to go into lion-el mode to help clark out.

before smallville ends they really need a bruce wayne appearence, i mean c’mon. next season is probably the last, they need to make it happen.

lionel is the kinda guy who wants to rule the world…but you cant rule a world with everyone dieing and such.
