I just don’t understand how she can be more advanced powerwise than Clark, yet she has been in suspended animation the whole time. Maybe it is just me, but it seems her introduction will cheapen all of Clark’s growth over the last 6 years or so. Took him a long time to get most of his powers, but yet she is going to have them at her disposal more or less right off the bat.
she was older originally, so its understandable to say his father explained to her about the new powers and gave her some kind of training. but because she got stuck in suspended animation clark had to grow up and learn it on his own.
“Hey, why does the villain look more like Superman than Clark does?”
On another note, Michael Rosenbaum’s contract ends at the end of season 7 (and he doesn’t plan to return), and the show is still being planned for season 8 (Tom Welling’s contract has 8 seasons). I wonder how they’re going to handle Lex. And, more importantly, I wonder how they will do an entire season without him.
Season 6 DVDs are on their way around the same time as well.
Honestly, I have seen every episode of the show up to this point, and I am debating not tuning in for season 7. I don’t like the direction the show is headed in, and I really don’t like that Rosenbaum is about to bail. The entire reason for Smallville’s existence is to show the parallel character arcs of Clark and Lex. Without Rosenbaum, they only have half a show. And no, week after week of one-shot meteor freaks will not carry the show after he’s gone.
If, he leaves the show they better do a pretty damned good job of killing him off, yeah it going to suck without him but ppl get tired of playing the same roll. Bizzaro woot! Cant wait till new season
Honestly, since they haven’t done anything good with Lex in three or four seasons, I could see them doing a season where he doesn’t show up except maybe a couple of times and at end.
Hell to really develop Clark from being a kid to adult, I’d figure they would have to eventually do the whole Clark Kent travels around the world arc or end on it.
The rumor is that they’re going to focus on other villains from Superman’s rogue gallery for the final season. They obviously can’t kill Lex (him, Lois, and Clark are confirmed to not be killed in the series), but everyone else is fair game.
i am really happy about supergirl now on smallville, mainly because my daughter pretends to be her every day, and she gets excited to see her!!! she is four but she really likes the show…it started with comic books…and yes i agree about last season it was really bad…but there is bizaro now i am looking forward to see what comes from that…
All seasons bar 6, we’ll get six at the end of this month.
Bizarro is going to be a one ep problem imo, he’ll be taken out in the premier, I’m hoping they kill Lois off somehow and have Chloe as Lois or somesuch, they’ve built towards Chloe/Clark for a long time and Lois really doesn’t fit. Ever since that episode where Chloe uses Lois Lane as a pseudonym it’s seemed better.
Yeah, yeah I know it’s not canon and doesn’t go with the comics story but HELL what does in Smallville, they’ve changed 1000 more things already so I can’t see why Clark and Lois has to be.
I’d like them to keep Bizarro as a recurring villain. He’d open up a lot of possibilities for fun, but likely he’ll be killed off in the first episode just like Zod.
I agree with the popular opinion of not being able to have the show without Lex. They could always hire Kevin Spacey. :wtf:
