why is there BS being spit around, which shouldnt be happpening as anybody who actually has played the games knows most of it.
first of, the biggest reason RBS is easier accepted is cause RBS is the easiest RB game there is (more like an easy dream match sorta game where everybody resembles each other). rb1 AND rb2 are harder games to master and be good with. thats why i view RBS as the best RB to get into the game with. with RB1 and especially RB2 you can really step your game up. so the characters from RBS can be learned in a very short amount of time. while the characters from RB1 and especially RB2 take considerable more time to master.
1 thing i didnt like in some of the posts, dont spew BS people. ive got the games, most people here got the games. so things as motions for the supers, properties of moves and such are the same wether you play the game in the US or China. like terry in RBS can combo power dunk AFTER the power charge, but not against small characters. meaning against small characters you can only do the rising tackle, and even that will miss if you pushed them too far away during you combo. things as this CANT be diferent for us players, cause thats just the way they work. so i dont understand some of the discussions going on. they shouldnt be going on cause if yoo play the game you know wtf it is, right?
another small point, the line shift is by far the worst in RBS. thats why they changed it back to the RB1 version to a degree. the run away game is boring in RBS where you can try and hide in a plane waiting for the opponent to make their move. though not as bad as in FFS, its still the worst. even FF3 line shift works better IMO.
Dude, he’s banned in RBSP for a good reason. Saying that is like saying ST Akuma, RB2 Alfred, or 98 Omega Rugal should be legal in tournies. That’s just so obviously dumb I can’t defend that.
Also, one big picture you guys are missing on- it doesn’t just have to be fun for you, it has to be fun for the other guy as well. These chars are so retarded it makes the game unfun for the other guy, even if he can win.
Yeah, that’s actually the base combo I was talking about with Terry, and it’s great. But I have a really hard time getting a consistent juggle with the Rising Tackle after the Power Charge. It works, but it just doesn’t feel reliable to me. Doing something like df+A,C chain into Fire Kick, then juggle with kara Rising Tackle in RB2, it does the same damage and is just way easier in general. The Fire Kick comes out really easily and you have an eternity to juggle after it.
So yeah, same results but easier to get. That’s the big kicker for me as to why I like RB2 Terry better.
its easy actually. it ony works against the destined normals. just press A and the direction you need as soon as you can right after it like your playing a piano.
I just bought this game today, while shopping through game stop, and it seems pretty good. I’m currently viewing match vids and reading strats in this thread. You can definitely count on another RB2 player in the community! Right now i’m working with joe ( who seems kinda…bleh) and Chonshu.
with joe. his :snka: + :snkb: is great and can combo into his slash kick :snkb: version from anywhere.
:dp: + :snkb: iS A GREAT ANITO AIR.
dashing :snkc: has mad prioty and kills a lot of attacks.
he can combo his spower from his launcher combo. close :snka:, :snka:, :df: + :snkc: or close :snka:, :snkb:, :df: + :snkc: combo. also you can jugle with his slash kick :snkc: version and juggle again after it with the tiger kick.
comboing his :snkc: or :snka:, :snkc: up close will enable you to use his feint cancel and combo on with the :snkb:, :snkc: chain. good thing, you can finish it in many ways like:
with the repeated :snka: into :qcf: + :snkc: and juggle with :db:, :r: + :snkb: or :dp: + :snkb:. or with :qcf: + :snkc: and ad a :dp: + :snkb: if you happen to be close to the corner.
or use the ppower.
:l: + :snkb: has decent range and pretty good prioty and is a nice poke.
Geez, I don’t mean RB2 vs. RBS. There’s a separate thread for that topic, that’s where I post that stuff.
There should be a link to Soh’s account in the first post of this thread - check there for the most recent matches. Something about the specific results of that tourney is what I was alluding to…
