I read an article yesterday that stated that PS4 is at 7 million sold, as opposed to 5 million XB1’s shipped to retailers (and not necessarily sold to consumers). That seems like a huge gap between the two. What stood out for me especially was having the PS4 outselling the XB1 in the month of March (Infamous has more pull than Titanfall? That seems crazy unlikely.)
i don’t think its infamous vs titanfall per se, but a good mixture or availability and finally something to play on the system might have given ps4 the justification edge. it still has the advantage of being $100 cheaper. the sales difference was estimated to be less than 60k, which can be seen as minor or incredibly dominate depending on your point of view…
i still think the public outcry about playroom nudes is giving ps4 an extra boost on top of it. never underestimate the power of sex.
Also gonna keep in mind Titanfall was available on other platforms. You didn’t need an Xbone to play the game. Peeps could have bought the PC version or waited on the 360 port. I never found it to be a huge deal breaker for Xbone as it wasn’t a true exclusive.
I played some small bursts of Titanfall on one of my homie’s PC. From what I gathered, it’s nothing to get hyped about. There is plethora of games that done what TF does, except much better. TitanFall does excel on a mouse and keyboard though; you can’t perform any of the technical moves on a shitty controller .
It was definitely touted as an exclusive, even if it wasn’t actually one. (See also: Halo, Gears releasing on Windows)
I know it’s definitely not as simple as exclusive versus exclusive, but with as much (paid-for marketing) hype as Titanfall had behind it, the numbers just surprise me. I expected them to be much higher, even though the game was underwhelming relative to the hype behind it.
Titanfall was the sole reason I bought the xb1. Played the beta, was totally turned off. So now I basically only you my xb1 for Battlefield. Seems like there aren’t any(?) great exclusives for xb1… Ps4 too for that matter
Lagging 2 million-ish behind but that’s pretty good when you compare how many countries PS4 is available to be purchased in compared to the Xbox One which has far less.
May OS preview is out now. System update probably won’t go public until end of the month since they have several features planned. Most notable feature in current build isn’t really notable: they brought back the sound mixer, which was in a previous preview but taken out before public release. Allows volume control for snapped and main screens.
Really scared for the future of Xbox. Xbox one has been having a lot of problems on my end.
can’t even stream any more.
I do no like the TV aspect shit at all. It really pisses me off and I wish I never bought the system.
Oh my goodness, there are so many shows I could giiivee a fuuuuck about!
I remember reading about the mystery below a while ago. #hype
