The NEW Official Xbox® Thread: $399 system without Kinect coming in June

According to this, Walmart and Best Buy have cut the price of Xbone Titanfall bundle by $50

Now the Xbone is a better deal than a PS4.

Still waitin’ on a killer app (for me) to be announced on either console, but in the meantime I wouldn’t mind seeing a price war go down :razzy:

Actually forgot about this game.

Something else to use Kinect with.

Microsoft themselves have now slashed the price with a limited time offer.

That’s pretty insane that you can get the console with either Forza 5 or Titanfall for free, for $50 less.

Official price drop imminent, and/or they really want to win March NPD.

EDIT: Get the Forza bundle for $399 at Amazon. They dropped the price & the XIAMAZON code still stacks.

So guise, I got an Xbox one. Considering trading it for a PS4 before opening though.

Damn, life sucks not being a fan boy. I’M SO CONFUSED!

50% off Thief & Tomb Raider DE. First big discounts of the next-gen titles. at Activision still being chincy with the COD sales, even with TF knocking on its door. Oh well, it must still be selling steadily enough if they can afford to command those prices.

Sales are only valid for a few days (March 28th through 30th). Kinda weird… but then again, last gen TR is already $29.99.

A few games are on sale on the Microsoft Store.

CoD: Ghosts is $29,99, ACIV: Black Flag is $29.99, 2K14 is $39.99 (still too much for that microtransaction fest)… etc.

Edit: Ghosts dropped to $24.99 while I was posting this, lol.

Has Ghosts not sold to Activation’s expectations? I never seen a CoD game go on sale as often as Ghosts

They were already expecting it to sell less due “uncertainty” over the next gen systems, so they mailed it in even moreso than usual. Even COD fanboys don’t seem to like it very much, lot of customers think it’s a step back from Blops II.

Wouldn’t doubt the recent sales and price drops have something to do with Titanfall, though. The fear is real and it should be. I’ll never bother with another COD again, they literally have no place to go concept wise aside from reviving the World War II setting or going full zombie game, and they know it.

Strike Suit Zero coming out April 8th for $19.99.

Yet none of these games will ever get an Xbone port for the following reasons:

  1. Xboned is too expensive

  2. Xbox fans have a myopic taste in games

Thinking about picking it up. Want another game to hold me down until CoL.

My Xbox One is still in that one box…

my xbox one is still in a box within a box

I guess you guys could try this on X-Bone? But with analog sticks and shit, man idk…

Satya Nadella made Phil Spencer a made man over at the Xbox Division.

Also: Kotaku article on what it all means and how important Phil is to the brand.

He better be bringing it up for a damn good reason. I would love to see the fallout from an Xbox-exclusive Shenmue 3. It would be more glorious than the Bayo 2 announcement.

It’s an exciting time, mainly because Phil is the kind of guy that owns an X1, PS4 and a Wii U. He’s a true gamer that knows what the competition is doing and is on Twitter daily observing what fans want. If anybody can pitch the resurrection of other old Rare games, it’s him.
