I intially didn’t like titanfall all that much, would’ve of liked to play an all pilot game as I sucked with Titans. After a few matches I can see the appeal and hopefully if they add more tactical abilities it would make it more worthwhile. Hell, just now, I found out how to use those cards which adds a little more. Got 17-0 with an amped up lmg. The bots are annoying in the sense that I want to actually shoot people not crappy ai. Take out the bots (or gamelist without it), FFA style gamelist, and I’m in.
Will more than likely pick it up on release, I mean what else is there to play. lol ^_^’
A guy on Reddit, claiming to be part of the Games With Gold team, said the prog was coming to X1 next month and that Ryse would be the first free game. So I’ve been waiting until then to try it out, if true.
But at least they’re getting the ball rolling. Some of these games should have permanent drops (such as Madden). AFAIK, Lococycle is the first/only game to get a permanent price reduction.
I like Titanfall, pretty much gonna wipe out Call of Duty, Battlefield and Halo for me(Halo 4 was ass)
Almost feels like Respawn went full steam ahead with this concept just so Call Of Duty has no direction to go in.
Gameplay feels just as good as the Halo 3 killing COD4 beta back in '07, day 1 purchase for me.
Wallrunning/climbing is super fluid, really fun hunting down dumb ass snipers(XEliteSniperGODX my ass) and rooftop campers then just jump kicking them off the buildings.
Nuclear Detonation on the Titans is great, since everybody tries to dash/melee with their Titans when they run out of ammo thinking they’re gonna Master Chief bash you to death. Ejecting and watching 2 Titans and the guy trying to jump on your Titan’s back get enveloped in a mini nuke was quite satisfying. Got a double kill on two enemy titans by setting my Titan to deploy right on top of them for a Gundam Mortar Strike as they crowded into an alley.
Also like how the Titans can actually handle themselves on Autopilot mode, was having lots of fun engaging other titans, dashing around a corner and jumping out to scale a building and start hitting people with Pilot while they were still concentrating on my Titan.
Didn’t mind the AI running around or the 6v6 settings at all, though they could probably expand into some bigger player count games with the right gametypes just fine. The way the game is setup is just nicely done. Everyone gets a shot at their Titan, so it’s not like BF where you have the same dickheads not spawning unless it’s in a vehicle, and while the AI isn’t challenging, it’s fun to wipe out squads of them instantly, and watching players sell out their position doing so.
Game should do well, the AI/Titans offer a kind of constant positive reinforcement to the players, and even gametypes without Titans would probably work–some crazy fun parkour chase/gunfights have happened already. Game is familiar territory in a lot of aspects, but can’t really think of anything I didn’t like about it so far.
The bots count in all modes. They count towards reducing the time you can obtain a titan and they also count towards reducing the time for increased damage while you have the titan. They also attack titans. So they aren’t as useless as most people think they are.
After playing the game a lot, i’m actually glad they limited the number of players to 6v6, since the game is pretty chaotic at that player count. Just imagine how crazy 16 player games would be lol. I think this game is amazing and is definitely a system seller.
Seems like people are liking Titanfall so far. Good sign. I’ve heard some people call it Call of Duty with robots, but I’ll try it out for myself to see. I haven’t actually played much Call of Duty any way.
Wonder what the final resolution for the game will be? If it plays smooth online that will be my main concern.
Titanfall seems cool but for it being online only with no single player campaign? Not sure if im down to plunk down $59.99 plus tax for a multiplayer mode only. I will probably wait for a sale.
What do you need Titanfall singleplayer for? Dark Souls 2 same day, so play one til your eyes burn, then switch to the other. Would be interested in SP mode, but after Battlefield and Ghosts utter campaign shitfests, not worried about it too much.
I heard it’s gonna have a single player arena mode with AI pilots, in the same vein as quake arena.
I’m not necessarily upset it doesn’t have a single player campaign. After experiencing the awful BF4 campaign, and not even playing the last couple of cod campaigns. I won’t miss em. I think a titan fall campaign could have been amazing if they put some real effort in the story telling. The universe looks kind of interesting.
Im not upset it doesnt have a single player mode. I still dont think im gonna buy it. Im really not down with paying 60 bucks for a multiplayer only game. If it was 30 or 40 dollars I would get it for sure. I mean, I liked the demo but not enough to spend 60 bucks on it.
Yeah i didn’t know there was no single player campaign. Out of all FPS game i’ve played, i think Call of Duty 3 was the only campaign i ever played. Its no biggie but i dont like the idea of paying full price but still going to get the Special Edition.
Word, of all the FPS games with multiplayer I have Ive only played the campaign of about 3 of them. But the single player is there in all of them just in case I want to play alone and get some cheesy action story.
Well I just found out today that you can hack enemy specteres. So I ran around the map hacking as many as I could and I had a small army of specteres protecting me and my Titan. Can’t wait till the game drops
