I use gimp because I’m too poverty to pirate photoshop (so lazy) and the eraser in gimp is balls dogs, absolute balls. However if you get creative you’ll do fine with the pencil tool.
Also paintdotnet and inkscape. I do a lot of graphical work for one of my other hobbies, and also I enjoy dicking around to make avatars or other things.
I do remember all of the trailers that adobe put out about the latest photoshop’s software assists, like how it can do tons of crazy shit for you for free. It practically runs itself these days!
Maybe I should hit up some adobe software, especially since I want to toy around with vectorizing images more–is there anything you lot use? Someone suggested I try Flash. Curious if you guys have any insight on the subject.
photoshop CS2 is free to download from their official site, i “uses” it myself (see top of this page, im so good i really need to use photoshop instead of paint)
Yeah but CS2 doesn’t photoshop images for you, where all you do is like click twice and BAM a perfect shop has been done.
I used to rock photoshop 6 back in the day, and my highschool had photoshop 5 for me to dick around with. Some gooooood shit. Although I did get a cease and desist for pirating flash way back in like 2002
if you’re ready to spend some money, @d3v is just the very best here i think. he just keeps on amazing me every time. he makes it look like its actually professional work and a retail look
Art theory states that red goes well either with all of the colours being warm hues or if you want the stick and buttons to contrast then go with dark cold hues
Does anybody happen to have the template art for a Madcatz Standard edition fightstick that resemble’s the Virtua Stick/Sega Astro City art layout? I can’t find a good resolution image or an actual link that can direct me to the Photoshop file. I am trying to get a local Decal store to print one out for me but for some reason the small 800x700 file that I have prints out a little smaller than what the metal template actually is.
Does anyone still happen to have a copy of the original art for the Madcatz SE? Been digging through the tread and haven’t found it yet, though I’m sure I’ve seen it done before.
