The NEW Official Arcade Stick Art Thread NO IMAGE QUOTING!

Understood

This is my current art of my Magneto stick, I’m in plans of changing it a little bit

i like it. but as i always say, i’d remove the text. the magneto text is pretty good, but the quote and the i can’t control it kills it a tad bit :frowning:

anyway, it’s pretty busy but i dont think its TOO busy

The 3 line Mags quotes takes away from the “Magneto” text so maybe try to trim that down to one line or remove it entirely. I like the “I can’t control it” placement and the small picture of Phoenix, but the meter seems out of place for some reason. The way you arranged the color scheme for the art, red on the left transitioning to orange, looks very good.

I would personally not have the whole “I can’t control it” part since I feel like it takes away from the rest of the stick, same with the magneto quote.

The way I envision your stick I see three sticks that are fighting to be on one.

The magneto quote could be a whole stick, muted colours, big readable text, with an image of magneto.
Same thing for the “I can’t control it” if the stick had a big meter at the bottom, and pheonix exploding dead center with large text then it would be a cool stick.

Jamming all of these ideas together means there’s tons of tiny almost unreadable text on your stick and there’s three different ideas being presented:

The collage of characters
Magneto Quote
Dark Pheonix

Each of these themes is strong enough to carry a custom stick is what I’m trying to get at…

However I really like how the collage turned out

Many thanks on your ideas, i’ll tweak the art with all you suggestions and will post later

PD: I want to keep most of the characters, or maybe will remove 1 or 2; It’s just I want to focus on my main character but I also want my favourite ones involved.

How about it now?

a lot better

Yeah that looks great, I really like your small tweaks, like putting magneto’s face in the middle of the X and having my dormammu dawg in the top left.

As I said your collage was great and you somehow made it better! I bet everyone you know will be jealous of your sick art now

OMG IN LOVE!!!

First art I made to a custom arcade stick.
I attended design forums but always worked with signatures. But I liked.

Unless you use a clear dustwasher, it’s going to cover part of Doom’s face.

This stick doesn’t have dust cover

Has any one made an exact replica of the hori rap vx sa stick artwork? It’s starting to fade and I need a new one.

send a PM.

This is what I’ve got going right now. I’m trying to do the red vewlix-style CP art for my Hori VX-SA. It’s coming out nice right now, but I’m totally stuck, in part because of my lack of ability to use photoshop, and also in part because I’ve only got photoshop elements. I’m trying to add in the 8th button, and make the actual buttons on the dark red portion of the art line up with the template from Tekinnovations. I’m using somebody else’s template for all of the art, except the start button which I made on my own, so that’s why I’m stuck. Is there some amazing person with photoshop skills in this thread who might be able to help me out with my problems??

Just wondering if anyone know how you are doing the circles so perfect from the center on all of them, have been searching all day but can’t find anything.

Hi all,
Just a post to present my DATEL ARCADE PRO modded stick :

And the template to download :

If you don’t have photoshop and can’t afford to buy it, you can get gimp which is free and has more features and is better than photoshop elements and it is almost as good as adobe photoshop CS6.

You can make a perfect circle coming from the center by holding shift+alt then drag and click with the mouse if i recall correctly.

Thank you for your answer, didn’t work tho, maybe because I have an older version (Photoshop 7).
