The de la soul album cover to 3 feet high and rising is a doodle by prince paul I think I forgot exactly who. Might have been pos or trugoy who drew it

Here’s another fun Repro. I can shift this to any layout, but I built it on the HRAP VLX:

http://savingprincessdesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/HRAP-VLX-NEO-GEO-C.png

wouldnt abc and d on a neo geo be like the old hori button layout? on the top instead of the botton?

Yeah, but this is more fashion over function. Just an example, I can move everything around if needed.

Is there a way to see a preview of a stick ? I wanna check if the effects around my buttons will be visible.

you could do a mockup.

This error is apparently something that us Gimp users just have to deal with. The solution I’ve found is to open the .psd file and IMMEDIATELY save it as a .xcf file (this is the native file type for Gimp. Then once you’re done…save it as a pdf or whatever type of file you prefer to print it as. Apparently Gimp randomly corrupts .psd files on occasion. I found this out after working on a TE template for approximately 12 hours and then, once I got it “finished” it …it took a dump. So just save as .xcf then at the end save a copy to .pdf or .psd. There’s nothing more demoralizing than working on something for so long and then having it #### up! Best of luck to you!

as a person who has never used gimp, why do people use gimp?

I’m soliciting opinions on this piece. I intend for it to go on my Femme Fatale and it will either have a red, white or blue bezel…depending on which one I think pops the most. I’m doing red, white and blue buttons (6 Viewlix) hence the button areas being colored already. the dust washer will be red, shaft cover white and the topper will be a blue bubble top just to keep it USA all the way. I’m pretty happy with my design overall but I wouldn’t mind some constructive criticism. I’m basically ready to send this to Art for printing/plexi. I tried to match the splashes to the Sanwa red and white buttons, but I couldn’t get the color swatches to work in Gimp so I got them as close as I could just by looking. I just wanted a somewhat plain, clean but visually interesting design because I definitely don’t like anything too flashy. Thanks!

It’s free! I can’t afford Photoshop and I’m not really in the market to cop it under the table either…overall I really like Gimp, but there are a few annoyances like the PS Sanwa color swatches not working, but other than that I feel that it’s suitable to my design aesthetic.
