Hi there, i´m looking for Mortal Kombat, Wolverine/X-Men or other Comic/Anime Templates for the Datel Arcade Stick (Mayflash/Paewang Revolution), has anybody a link for me? I can´t create them alone because i can not work with Photoshop or GIMP. Thanks for your help and sorry for my english.
I actually haven’t tried the pen tool yet. I think I’ll give it a try then. Thanks for your help, deathzerozx.
Thanks Stoogie, this was really helpful. I didn’t even know there was an expand selection option. Thanks again for your help.
Inorite?! Kirby Air Ride was pretty sweet.
If for no other reason that it gave us the song “Checker Knights” which is probably one of the best video game songs in the history of gaming. Okay I will stop derailing now…
My 1st artwork i put together for a friend. the background is by Shinobidark72

That almost doesn’t seem proportionate.
how so? any tips?
Just finished for a very happy client. I really enjoyed making this one cause i am a fan of Darkstalkers and Jon Talbain was my other main next to Felicia of corse.

Hey everyone. Took my first crack at making artwork for my eightarc fusion. I really liked Drop One’s honda art several pages back so i tried to make something similar. Photoshop is harder than i thought :S. What do you guys think i could do to improve? I wanted to make octagonal style button and stick accents like Drop One used on his ghost rider design and B15 uses on quite a few of his designs but i have no idea how :(. Just as a note the text on the right wont be cut off by the start button since the eightarc’s start button is moved to the top panel.
Also <3 d3v for the template.

photoshop has an octogon shape… uh… thing.
Well if you didn’t use Shift when you re-size an image so it stay proportionate, it just looks like she’s a beanpole. Might just be the angle of the art that’s messing with me.
so many people keep asking methods of creating renders (slices, cuts, background removal, etc.) I’m thinking about making a little video of the many ways you can do so and explain the pen tool a little… Just gotta figure out this pc recording thing…
Just a heads up , theres a part of the kirby with the indian head-dress not colored red its in the ring
heres the art i commisioned someone to do , i’m pretty pleased with how it came out ^____^

I have been seeing so much fairy tail lately and I like it.
@Soothsayer that art is going on my V.S. thank you buddy. On bomb kirby can you change his left arm to green too? I am almost tempted to have you add a blue kirby to the top left and then change one of the pink kirbys to blue as well but I think that would look to busy.
@Drop one Could you make that artwork for my SE Astro template(6 button) from my site
Both of you will be getting free Plexis!!!
Please email me at
LLC@TheGameSurgeons.com and let me know who you are.
You can send me the template(or upload it to mediafire if too big) and I can get your info and what you guys want.
Anyone else who attempted to make me one. Thanks and if you want a plexi I will give you an additional $5 discount on top of the already discounted prices.
That goes for
Deathzerozx and
Bonesaw1
Thanks guys!!!
use [ and ] buttons too enlarge or shrink your tool
so the pen tool is like my description with the background eraser and blur tool but u can do it in alot less of time.
also to record ur background download fraps and tick Monitor Aero Desktop (DWM).
yes the character is stretched vertically QUITE BAD, u can use shift i think to keep the same aspect (like selection tool hold shift to make a square sorta thing) or u can do what i do and manually copy it to a new picture and image>resize to the size i need after measuring the pixels on the image of what i wish to put it on therefore the aspect wont change cause ur just changing the size of the character with that newcopy if that makes sense.
hey it looks great, however i think it looks too desaturated/bright.
That would really help out a lot.
I’m sure there are some good tutorials on youtube, but a lot of them are outdated and no longer apply (like Filter > Extract).
And my knowledge of creating renders ends with the magic wand if the background is just right.
EDIT: Thanks Stoogie, that will save a lot of time switching tool sizes back and forth.
Well, this is my first time attempting anything of the sort, and I know this burns in a pit of cobras compared to all the other works of art in here, but here ya go. I made this for a stick I’m currently making for myself, sooooooo yeah.
Lmao. Sorry I made it low quality on purpose, but I probably went a little overboard. The original art is much better.
Thanks for the heads up that I was missing a few things, I’ve been having a distinct lack of sleep so I kind of just zone out sometimes when I do this stuff.
I could swing that Blue Kirby real quick so you could get a quick visual, I saved both copies but here’s with Blue Kirby and Blue Hammer Kirby.
